Coming out of college, Malik was obviously regarded for his speed, but in terms of, you know, coaching him up and seeing him do other things with his route running and you know more tedious things from release, how do you think he's been handling that coaching, and do you think that he's a lot better at those things than you would have anticipated coming out?

Um, no, I don't think he's a lot better.

I think he's gotten a lot better at it.

I knew he had the skill set to do it.

Uh, he just, you know, just wasn't, doesn't always have to show up in college, you know, sometimes you just run real fast.

Which is what he can do and all the nuances in the game.

That's our job to teach him.

And like I said, he's worked at it.

He's got a long, long way to go, but, uh, I'm pleased with where he's at because I knew he had the skill set to do it.

Now I just got to be more consistent in doing it.

I just, how can you see that working with a guy, if it doesn't show up on tape to know that they do have the ability.

Yeah, we got to watch a lot of film.

I mean, we're, we're talking pro days, we're talking combine, uh, we're talking, uh, all three schools he went to, 4 schools he went to, talking to coaches, position coaches.

I mean, uh, our, our scouting department does a phenomenal job and as a coach, I got a coach.

And so I also do my own vetting to put in with the stuff that they've looked at because ultimately I've seen it a lot too for 28 years.

I kind of know, you know, what it, what it looks like.

And, uh, so I did a lot of research on all the guys in the draft, but that's why I kind of knew, you know, Malik I thought was a little bit of a, a steal that way.

What you see from uh Chase Robert.

Yeah, Chase is coming along.

You know, the speed of the game is the one thing that Chase is trying to catch up to, you know, um, to, to Hondo's point, he, he kind of came from an offense where it's kind of feel and get open.

So this is a little bit of a, a learning, uh, curve for him to get in the spots real fast.

So, you know, all these guys come from different styles of offense, Chase being one of them.

But again, he's another great kid, man.

Just pleased with where he's at mentally.

He'll come out here every day, yes, sir, no, sir.

And when he screws up, he'll go again, and I love that.
