Rangers come up empty again in shutout loss to Carolina

Following the deal that sent Rangers' leading scorer Artemi Panarin to Los Angeles, they proved to be no match for the Eastern Conference-leading Hurricanes, managing just 16 shots on goal in a 2-0 loss. It was the ninth time they had been shut out this season and for captain J.T. Miller, Vincent Trocheck and head coach Mike Sullivan the Olympic break provides the opportunity for a much needed reset.
