What happened?
Did he, swing or something?
Actually, it happened last night on that play at the plate.
The throw from, Garcia just kind of jammed his knee and jammed his back reaching for it, so.
Is the knee okay?
Yeah, knee's okay.
And you don't expect an IL stint from him?
We'll check him more.
I don't think so at this point, but we'll check him more.
You talked before the game about maybe Reyes providing a jolt of energy.
What'd you see in that at-bat?
It was great, you know.
Whenever you see a kid come up for the first time, hit a home run his first at-bat, there was a lot of energy in the, in the dugout, for sure.
unfortunately, we c- didn't do much after that, but, yeah, this kid can hit.
What'd you make of Sanchez's outing?
He was great.
fastball command was great.
The change-up was swing and miss.
I think he had the most swing and miss, of the year.
High strike percentage.
Outstanding.
How, how frustrating was it to, Reyes kind of changes the energy with that home run, and then that, the Braves get three- Yeah, third inning right next inning?
Yeah.
How about that?
yeah.
Yeah, it was, it's, it's frustrating, you know, but, again, we gotta, we gotta keep fighting.
We gotta keep fighting.
Sosa, you know, I feel bad for him.
He, he feels terrible.
He just, I think he, he didn't think he had as much time as he did, and he kind of overplayed the ball, and it went off the heel of his glove.
But, so, but, you know, we gotta play better.
Marsh made that great catch at the wall, obviously, to start the game.
But then the center, that ball that Dubn hit, sh- is that a, should he have, is that a ball he should catch?
It looked like he- Well, it was a full swing, and, and he didn't, he, he broke back on it.
He just opened up on it, and the ball was either jam shot or off the end of the bat.
He thought it was barreled, so couldn't catch up to it.
Obviously, Sale's a tough arm from the left side, but are you noticing a difference in approach versus lefties to this point, specifically left-handed starters?
Well, it's tough to tell off of Sale, you know.
It's, it's the other guys, I mean, Sale's a tough at-bat, and you gotta, you gotta fight.
And, it's the other guys that, can concern you a little bit when, you know, we gotta use the field, and we gotta work counts and things like that and, and get pitch counts up.
But, Sale was really good tonight.
