Russell Wilson is hanging up the cleats for now to join the network's studio show, The NFL Today, alongside host James Brown, analysts Bill Cowher and Nate Burleson.
Wilson filling into the role left vacant by Matt Ryan, who now works for his former Atlanta Falcons.
Wilson was a ten-time Pro Bowler during his NFL career, which included obviously his Super Bowl victory with the Seattle Seahawks.
He most recently played for the New York Giants, who are in the news today for reuniting with former wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
The Giants took Beckham in the first round in the 2014 draft, and he was a Pro Bowl wideout for the first three seasons of his career, in which he caught thirty-five touchdowns for the Giants.
But he was traded somewhat unceremoniously in 2019 to the Cleveland Browns, won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, took a year off to injury, has bounced around a little bit.
Spent a year with Giants head coach John Harbaugh with the-- when the both were with the Baltimore Ravens.
Now the thirty-three-year-old is back where he started his career.
