'cause you don't wanna be stuck with that big Purdy contract.
That's a Purdy big contract.
You don't wanna be stuck with that and then not have the pieces around it.
They, they are prime right now.
They are a perfect situation to continue a veteran team and try this thing one last time.
I think the biggest thing, though, is gonna come down to Brock Purdy.
I still think we're not, we're not, we're still not sure what he is.
I feel like a lot of people are still judging him as Mr.
Irrelevant, and that's just not the case.
He's already earning that money now.
He's making over 50 million annually.
You know what I mean?
So Brock Purdy, it's gonna come down to him.
We're not, we gotta be done treating Brock Purdy like he's Mr.
Irrelevant.
He's the franchise quarterback now, and we gotta grade him like one.
We gotta be harder on him.
It's no more just, ah, you know, he's gotta be We've seen so much good from Purdy, but we've also seen some bad.
The good has definitely outweighed the bad, but I feel like so many people are unfair to him because Purdy can have a bunch of good throws, a b- a good game, but the one, every time that one pick comes, they go, "And that's why he was drafted last."
And that, that'll follow him.
And, it'll be even harder now that he's got all that moolah, all that, all those fun coins.
So, man, he had a pretty good year in 2025, besides from the injuries, of course.
So I think, what you see also, too, is what you can learn from that is Mac Jones came in and succeed in this offense.
You know?
He, he proved, he proved that, Shanahan can make any quarterback look decent.
I mean, Mac Jones was battling injury and having some pretty good games.
So, you know, the problem is there's a difference between operating Shanahan's offense and maximizing Shanahan's offense, and we need to know if Purdy can actually maximize it this year
