Seattle Mariners' Season is on the Brink
Entering the season with World Series aspirations, the Mariners have been incredibly disappointing.

You can't.
You, you've got to, you've got to try and relax and find that balance, and pressure in this game does not help.
So I, I think they all understand that.
The, the, the messaging is there.
Of course, they've all been into the mental skills side of things.
You know, it, it's no longer It's not one of those sports where you can just go out there and play harder, run harder, hit harder, do any of that, put more physical effort into it.
So I, I think that they understand that, and a big part of that is putting a bad game behind you, regardless of where it is in the season.
You know, the pessimist in me says the first 103 games have been very up and down, and that is an uneasy feeling heading into this series.
The optimist in me says it was last September when you and I were both in Houston, when the Mariners went on the road and took three straight games against the Astros, their division rivals, and this team, this group, has proven they can win in the division, they can win when it counts, and they can win on the road.
Do you think anything from last year has any bearing on anything down the stretch this year?
You know, what I don't like, there are good things about that and, yeah, been there, done that, and at this point, it's a part of their DNA.
They've been there, done that in multiple seasons.
You know, they've made runs in years that they haven't made the postseason.
You can take it all the way back to '22, and, and they had to do the same thing.
