The Mariners were unable to keep their momentum from the previous series win against their American League West rivals.

With, you know, I thought early on, you know, we came out, put a lot of runners on base, you know, getting hits and, and driving them in.
We continued to get traffic, just weren't able, you know, to, to, to bring them home and, and, you know, a- as we got into the game deeper and deeper, you know, it ended up costing us.
And, you know, a lot of runners on, but just, you know, not, not a lot of, times that we were able to, to, to get them in to kind of add on to that lead and, and, give us more cushion.
You know, I thought Cade, you know, he competed out there today.
It looked like he had, you know, a little trouble getting, a good feel for his breaking ball.
You know, whether it was a slider or, I thought the changeup was pretty good, but the, you know, the, the slider was kind of up in the zone a little bit and, you know, just, couldn't, you know, find a, a good landing spot for it and, and, you know, got behind a little bit.
But, you know, still could, you know, still competed, gave us the, the, the five innings there.
And, you know, just, as we got into their bullpen, you know, continued to get Simey there and, and, you know, just weren't able to come away with it.
