How do you feel about the, the, the fact that, I mean, you me- you mentioned it, St- Steve Staios keeping his cards close to the chest and not, not letting things out.

It's a much tighter ship run down there, nowadays.

There's no more leaks, there's no more stories.

Trades come up out of nowhere, signings come up out of nowhere.

That's kinda cool, but by the same time, you don't get as many of these rumors, and you don't hear as much as you used to hear.

We don't get to hear these sorts of things.

How do you feel about that?

I think it's a good thing.

It's healthy for the team.

It's not necessarily as exciting for the fan base, obviously, and I don't buy that it's always going to be airtight.

When it benefits Staios and the Senators, you're damn right he's going to leak stuff out there.

Like, if, for example, and I'm not saying this to be the case at all, but let's use this particular negotiation as a sample here, and Matherson's agent gets on the phone with Staios, "Yeah, we've been thinking it over.

We want 15 million, like Bedard."

At that stage of the game, you know, you know you're gonna have to probably turn the page if, if they're gonna dig their heels in at that number or something crazy like it.

At that stage of the game, if you're Staios, it would be wise to let the media know, leak something out to the public so that you don't necessarily look like the bad guy here.

If that number gets out there, no Senator fan would say, "Oh, I can't believe he didn't re-sign Matherson.

Everybody loves Matherson."

Yeah.

I don't think anybody loves Matherson at 15
