Stan Kroenke buys Angels from Arte Moreno in massive MLB deal
USA TODAY Sports' Bob Nightengale breaks down Arte Moreno's sale of the Los Angeles Angels to Stan Kroenke and what comes next for the franchise.

Well, Arte Moreno, who tried to sell the Los Angeles Angels four years ago, but didn't get the money he wanted.
He did- didn't get an offer more than $2 billion.
Well, he has now sold the franchise for a Major League record $4 billion to Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who owns the Colorado Avalanche, the NBA Denver Nuggets, soccer, you name it.
The guy's got a sports empire, and has won wherever he's gone.
Angel fans can only hope for the best that the, the same thing happens for them.
They have not won a World Series title since 2002, one year before Arte Moreno bought that team.
They were very successful early on, winning five titles in six-year span, but they have not been to the playoffs since 2014.
So Mike Trout has not been in the postseason.
This will be 12 years now and counting, and he's never won a postseason game.
So Arte Moreno has tried.
He has spent some money.
And then I think recently, according to people that know him the best, has lost a little interest.
He loved the sport.
Watched three, four baseball games a day, but they di- they have not made a big Major League, acquisition for a trade or a signing in about four years.
When Perry Minasian was the GM, they never had a press conference in over five years to announce a free agent signing.
Finally, Arte Moreno has had enough.
He loved the game, hated the business.
Now he's out of it for a record price of $4 billion.
