Whoa.
Oh.
Biggest shock of the draft so far.
Carnell Tate off the board at number four?
At number four.
Listen, I like Carnell Tate.
He is ready right now.
Do I think he's worth a number four pick in the draft?
Whoa.
Absolutely not.
Whoa.
I, I've been pretty consistent with that.
Whoa.
You know, for me, Carnell Tate is a high-end number two corner.
That's exactly how I saw him.
Yep.
Great route runner, good size.
Yeah, he can go up and catch 50/50 balls and do all that.
Sure.
But there's an explosion big play element that lacks for me to think he's a top five talent.
Yeah.
Yeah, obviously they weren't probably comfortable maybe with Jordan Tyson's health- Yeah if they had that receiver.
Right.
This pick is all about Cam Ward.
Mm-hmm.
Robert Sala and Brian Daboll know they'll be judged on what Cam Ward becomes- Yeah during their time in Tennessee, so they don't mess around.
This pick makes me wonder if Jeremiah Love would've been the pick at four.
Yeah.
That makes me think it would've been.
Because clearly the pick was all about- Offense Cam Ward and the offense.
Cam Ward and the offense.
They, they addressed defense in free agency.
Yep.
We saw that.
Trades, free agency.
Right.
Got all Sala, Seattle scheme type of guys.
Yep.
Offensively, e- early on in the offseason there was some rumors that thought maybe they would Calvin Ridley might not be there anymore.
Right.
That was part of the conversation.
But yeah, I'm surprised by this.
I am.
me too.
I am.
But, but nonetheless, you got a young quarterback, and now you got Wan'Dale Robinson, you do got Calvin Ridley, and we got Carnell Tate to go along with it, and a pretty good running back in Tony Pollard too.
That's the thing.
Yeah.
They, they have some pieces now on offense, and they're gonna have more picks to work with.
But it They needed They felt like they needed the guy to funnel the pass game through.
Yeah.
One thing I'll say about Carnell, tell you why I like this fit: I thought when things broke down with Julian Saine, he knew how to flow with the quarterback.
Sure.
He controlled his body along the sideline.
Right.
Cam Ward, he extends plays.
No, no doubt.
He'll run back and forth.
Right.
And Carnell Tate has the bigger body, hopefully that he meshes well with the quarterback specifically.
He is pro ready.
He has a high floor.
He's I would be shocked if he's a bust.
He's gonna be a really good player.
It's about The big question is pick number four you'd like it be a superstar.
Right, of course.
And we're not sure if we see that.
Of course.
So we'll see where it goes.
Good pick by the Titans.
Yeah.
But man, the first shocking moment of the draft.
Number four, Carnell Tate.
Never saw that coming.
Never, at any point.
