The Tennessee Volunteers are ready for SEC Media Day
SEC Media Day is next week and Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers have selected their three players they want to send to Tampa to preview their 2026 season. Desean Bishop, Jeremiah Telander, and Arion Carter will represent Tennessee and Lucas Panzica details what this might mean for the team as a whole.

Talking season is upon us in college football as SEC Media Days get underway this coming week in Tampa.
And earlier this week, Tennessee announced its three player attendees that will accompany Josh Heupel down in Tampa, and they are running back Deshawn Bishop and a pair of linebackers in Ariyon Carter and Jeremiah Teelander.
Now, it doesn't mean a whole lot, and honestly, not a lot is actually said of importance at Media Days, but I always find it to be an interesting glimpse into who Josh Heupel believes are the leaders of this program and the representatives of this program in the public eye.
And all three of those players do have one thing in common, that they were recruited out of high school and developed by Tennessee's coaching staff.
They are not incoming transfers.
Now, Deshawn Bishop, as we have talked about, I believe to be one of the more underrated players in the SEC this year.
Coming off a thousand-yard campaign, I think Bishop could be poised for a massive 2026 as Tennessee looks to get back to running the ball at a high level.
And Jeremiah Teelander and Ariyon Carter are a part of one of the deepest groups on this team at the linebacker position.
One thing is true about Media Days, it's always a telltale sign that the season is right around the corner.
