Sports Illustrated made three encouraging bold predictions for the 2026 Detroit Lions.
I'm John McAroon, Detroit Lions on SI.
Sports Illustrated writer, NFL reporter and writer, Connor Orr has released his annual 100 bold predictions, and several feature the Detroit Lions.
One of them, obviously, indicating with the 4th-place schedule, seeing where the Lions are at offensively.
Connor Orr believes the Lions are gonna finish the 2026 regular season with the most wins in the National Football League, and with new with new offensive coordinator Drew Petzing leading the way with Jared Goff, Jamir Gibbs, and Amira Saint Brown, Jason Williams, Isaac Tesla.
He expects the Lions to score the most points this season across the entire National Football League.
And like many.
Like many have said, though, as the Lions are betting favorites to win the NFC North, Connor Orr believes that the Lions will end up being a team, one of the teams that goes from worst to first.
He has the Lions winning the NFC North, a tough NFC North, but when you look at the landscape with head coach Dan Campbell being hungry, being hungrier to get the team to rebound from a disappointing 2025 season, you realize there's a lot of encouraging.
Factors.
You have some question marks on defense.
How will the second-year players grow?
How will the rookies acclimate?
But when you recognize the offensive weaponry that this Lions team features, you realize this football team has a lot of chances for success , especially to rack up wins when you have a 4th-place schedule.
And many people believe that the Lions are gonna get off to a good start early in the 2026 season.
So, Sports Illustrated very high on the Detroit Lions in their annual bold predictions.
