had to feel good to just be involved in, you know, driving some runs, score some runs too.
Yeah, definitely felt good.
felt good to come through for the boys, and most importantly, get the win today.
Justin, i- it's gotta stink being an outfielder playing behind Christopher Sanchez.
Y'all don't get no balls hit to you.
Hey, I'm not gonna play it too bad, man.
Gives us a rest for our legs.
But it's fun going out there every day and seeing, day in and day out, seeing Sanchez go up there and go to work.
So i- it's a lot of fun, for sure.
All right.
So the two run base hit against Chandler.
Yeah.
He's pumping one fastball after another after you, and then he throws you the breaking ball.
Were you surprised by that, or you figure he had to throw you at least something slow?
kinda, kinda not.
I mean, I was just re- ready for the fastball, timing up the fastball, and then trusting how to react to the breaking ball, and thankfully he left it kinda out over a little bit for me to get my arms extended and be able to sneak it past somebody.
Yeah, Justin, had to feel good though.
I mean, y- line drives all over the field and, I mean, that, that's your game.
And if you continue to do that, this, this offense, not only does it already score a lot of runs, it's gonna score a hell of a lot more runs- with you on base more often.
Yeah, definitely.
Just trying to come through.
Been working a lot with Kaylong day in and day out, and i- it's been nice being able to kinda see it come through in the games a little bit.
Y- you know, in, in season adjustments, you have to make them from time to time.
Of course.
And you've made some adjustments this year.
Is that hard, is it easy, or is it just sort of invigorating when they pay off?
Yeah.
I think it's just trusting it.
fortunate enough, we got a great coaching staff here that I trust, and it's nice being able to come to work every day, even if it's not showing up at first, and just trusting the process.
Getting to work every day and then just eventually being able to see results come forward.
