Obviously a rocky start for Wisenhunt.
Just what did you think was the issue with him, for him tonight?
Yeah, I mean, Ad- Adele was the issue, for sure.
Again, I'm a little bit of a believer he And we've talked about it before, he gets pretty juiced up out there and, it wasn't like it was smooth sailing after the first inning, but he pitched better.
You know, two outs, he's, he's about dang near done with the thing, and they get more runs in the second.
If you look at his outings, I mean, our guys are in the spot.
We spend all this time in the technology, but he's gotten beat down the line a couple times.
So, maybe I'm trying too hard to spin a positive, but to me, the way he was throwing the ball, it was better as it went on.
So maybe keying in on being a little more relaxed in the first inning, a little bit better off, but bottom line is, you know, Adele was at the center of things, but some guys got him.
Is he okay after being struck by the line drive?
Yeah, he was okay with the umpire situation.
He was at a three to four hitter, kinda leash the next inning, and just decided with that deal.
And I went out and told those guys, "That's the quickest I've ever..." I've had a lot of those, that's the quickest anyone's ever changed.
But even with that minimal delay, just made the decision to go to Harry.
You're committed to giving y- these young guys a, a long look, but I mean, are, is there any conversation about maybe changing his role, or are you guys still planning on- No, not at, not at this point.
But I'll fall back on the easy answer I've thrown out a couple times to you guys, is there, there isn't anything that isn't worth conversating about at this point.
Three homers in the last six games for Bryce, so just what are you seeing with his at-bats?
Yeah, I mean, I think he's handled the pitch inside pretty well.
You know, I, I don't think the left-handed pitching, it, I don't think his at-bats against those guys has fluctuated too much.
And he's had some really tough looks, too, 'cause we've essentially just left him in there.
And he's done well with those guys and, probably a righty coming in is not as challenging as a lefty being a, as, on the arm side, and, pulled his hands in pretty good on the one that almost hit, Griffin.
So just looks mature.
Tough game, but nice to have a little moment with all of Marietta, Ohio applauding at double there.
Yeah.
I mean, y- yeah.
Like I was kinda talking about each outing, I mean, there's You, you could also find a positive for the most part and nitpick, and find negatives, but it's always better to try and pull positives out of anything.
But with that situation in particular, it was, for a moment in time there, it was hopefully for everybody in the stadium, even the Indians guys, they, they got their win, or Guardians, what have you.
Pre- pretty awesome moment for a young kid.
What'd you think of Harris's outing as well?
He was electric, to be honest with you.
The attitude that he showed in spring training combined with the stuff that he developed, in Sac with those guys, kinda meshed into, into one there.
And, I don't know it was the first time that it's happened, 'cause the last outing was pretty good, you know, late in the game against Colorado, but it, it, it was pretty impressive.
The attitude he had on the mound was exactly what, what you wanna see out of guys.
Are you excited on the starter turnaround?
Gonna have a couple conversations here, and then about 30 minutes from now.
So it's tough.
I mean, you spend four days putting in all your work to get ready and then, you know, three batters in, you're already behind.
I mean, is that just a, a tough place to come back from mentally?
Yeah, not ideal.
Gotta fill up the zone a little bit more and not make mistake pitches.
Was it the night that Joe Dell just only gave it a fifth, particularly challenging today?
Couldn't figure it out.
I, I couldn't tell you.
You okay after getting struck by the line drive?
Yeah.
All good.
Did you feel like you had a good plan going into this one?
Yeah, felt good.
Had a plan.
Felt like the misses weren't that big, but just couldn't get them to swing, and when they did, it was just where we weren't, so A little weird to, to face Patrick Bailey for the first time?
Little bit, but, we talked a little bit before the game, but it was, it was good
