Two New MLB Draftees Crack Cardinals' Top 5 in Updated Prospect Rankings
Speedy prep outfielder Trevor Condon and hard-throwing right-handed pitcher Tegan Kuhns are ranked No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, among the Cardinals' prospects in their Minor League system by Baseball America. Condon, 18, the No. 13 pick in last week's MLB Draft.

How good was the St. Louis Cardinals haul from last week's Major League Baseball draft?
Let's put it this way.
Eight of the players just taken in the draft are already listed among the top 30 prospects in the entire Cardinals minor league system.
That's according to a new ranking put out this week by Baseball America.
Like I said, eight of those players taken.
The Cardinals have almost universally gotten a lot of praise from draft experts for the players that they were able to snag in that draft.
Their first-round pick, number 13 overall, Trevor Condon, is already ranked as the number four prospect in the Cardinals system.
The 18-year-old from Georgia was the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year.
Already s- a lot of people compare him to Pete Crow-Armstrong because he has blinding speed on the base paths and in the outfield.
He's already an elite defender at, at center field.
A- and experts believe as he adds, more weight, as he matures, that he can be more than just that, slash and dash type guy.
They think he can eventually hit for power.
Teagan Kunz, the number 32 overall pick by the Cardinals, he was taken in the competitive balance A round.
He is listed as the number five ranked prospect in the Cardinals system, by Baseball America.
So those two have already jumped in the top five, i- in, in the rankings, for the Cardinals.
Kunz last year pitched at University of Tennessee.
He had two 10-strikeout games, and he also had a 15-strikeout game against Texas, on May 8th.
That day, he threw seven scoreless innings and, like I said, struck out 15.
So th- those guys are highly ranked.
As far as, Rocco Maniscalco, Maniscalco, the 17-year-old player is still unsigned by the Cardinals.
The Cardinals took him in the number 50 spot overall.
He's listed in the rankings, by Baseball America.
Rocco is, let's see, I'm trying to find it.

Rocco is listed as the number one, 21 ranked prospect by Baseball America.
Andrew Williamson, a power-hitting, outfielder from the University of Central Florida, is listed as the number 19 ranked prospect.
The Cardinals got him.
A kid from St. Pete, hits, hits the ball with a lot of power.
Veteran college player.
They think he can fly through the system pretty quickly with his bat-to-ball skills.
Like I said, Maniscalco is, is 21st.
Dawson Montezza, a pitcher from the Univers- from West Virginia University, led them to their first-ever College World Series.
He is ranked as the number 24 prospect.
Caiden Ferraro, a guy who won the national championship at Blinn Community College and then went to Texas Tech and tore it up, another power-hitting outfielder.
He is number 27th.
Dee Kennedy, a guy who struggled early in his college career, he had LASIK surgery on his eyes and took off, put up great numbers at Kansas State, is listed as the number tw- 29 prospect.
And Cal Randall, the hard-throwing closer from the, from UCLA, is number 30.
The Cardinals have already talked about possibly moving Randall into a starting role, kind of the way they've done with Tanner Franklin, who's pitching for High A Peoria now.
