Unstoppable Boston Red Sox Face Struggling Athletics
Boston Red Sox continue their winning streak, now facing the Athletics with the worst MLB record. Despite recent long games, their momentum remains strong.

The, you know, Boston hasn't lost a game it feels like in a month.
But they did play till the wee hours of the morning last night, 13, ridiculous innings, where the White Sox just could not put them away.
They come back, they end up winning it.
Now they welcome in, the Athletics, who, very much Craig and I have talked all week.
Craig believes when it's all said and done, the Athletics are gonna have the worst record in Major League Baseball, and it is very hard to argue with that there, Scotty.
Yeah.
You, you talk about a game that you say, Joe, "How is this not gonna happen," right?
And thi- this is it for me.
How is Boston not winning?
You have the hottest team in baseball against the coldest team in baseball, and the hottest team is at home.
Yep.
And the hottest team has a decent pitcher on the hill.
The other team has a two and seven Jack Perkins on the hill.
I mean, the Red Sox, I, I watched the game last night.
31 and five their last 36 games.
16 and four last 20 at Fenway Park.
17 and three since the All-Star break.
They've won eight in a row overall.
I mean, it just goes on and on and on with this team.
It, it, it's just unbelievable.
It, it, it really is the turnaround.
The A's, on the other hand, seven and 32 their last 39 games.
Jeez.
Four and 15 since the All-Star break, including eight straight losses.
Tully's a lefty.
So what?
The A's are 16 games under 500 against lefties, only nine against righties.
I mean, they suck against everybody, but they're especially bad against lefties.
I mean, there's just nothing that says A's tonight, or in this series, but you watch them win one of these games.
Yeah.
I, listen, I, eight and a half is the, is the total here.
I just don't know how the Athletics are getting on the board.
Perkins and Tully, they faced one another last time, I believe, at Sacramento.
Mm-hmm.
And both guys did a really good job of limiting both lineups.
So no reason to think that we're gonna get some sort of crazy 13-12 game again tonight.
Feels like fewer runs, not more.
