In the ninth inning, suddenly it's two runs on the board and the Giants get the win.
Let's talk now to the guy who got that game-winning hit.
It's the rookie Victor Barracoa, joined by his translator, Erwin Higueros.

For starters, take us through that last at bat.
What'd you see as you blasted that one out the yard and won this ballgame?
Felicidades primeramente.

I wasn't trying to do much.

I, I remember seeing you for the first time in spring training this year, and it seemed like every time you got in a game in spring training, you came, came up with a big hit for this Giants team.
How great does it feel to get back in the starting lineup tonight and to contribute the way you did?

You mentioned the word opportunity.
Something we talked about pregame is how difficult it has to be when you're not playing every day, and especially not starting in a couple weeks, to then come in and be able to contribute, and that's exactly what you did tonight.
Game-winning home run, but you also went two for four.
Like, how did you try to stay ready, and how do you try to stay in a rhythm during those times where you're not playing every day?

And when I show up to the ballpark, I play.
I even train double hard.

Victor, of course, we know you got the game-winning home run tonight in, in the last inning.
But a play that was the biggest play of the game earlier was you backing up the throw in left field, and the 93 mile an hour ball you threw home to Hoss at the plate.
Tell us about that play, please.
