Now keep in mind, this is what made him such an enticing prospect, the ability to play everywhere on defense and not leave the field at all.
But I do worry, in a way, that the Cowboys don't wanna put too much on his plate, which would be fair, because at the end of the day, he's still a rookie, and that they just use him as a nickel back.
Now, the Cowboys might look at a Caleb Downs in a similar light, but there is also the possibility that they wanna treat him like a rookie and just be, "Hey, let's just play nickel, worry about playing nickel," and when the Cowboys are on base defense, Caleb Downs leaves the field, right?
So that's what I wanna learn more about.
But I wanna find out, is he just gonna play nickel or is he gonna move around?
Are we gonna see him play in the box?
Are we gonna see him play at free safety?
I would rather see Caleb Downs do a little bit of everything, rather than him just playing nickel, because I think the best version of Caleb Downs is the one that is gonna be able to move all around the football field, and I think that would be massive
