White Sox Surge: Key Players to Watch as MLB Postseason Nears
As September approaches, the Chicago White Sox shine with incredible performances from Vargas and Murakami, eyeing a playoff spot in a chaotic AL Central.

The White Sox certainly have had this wild streak of several players having five home runs or more consecutively.
Three different players this season.
That is incredible.
Miguel Vargas is having a season to remember.
That this is, like, the lone player it seems like the Dodgers gave up that actually turned out to be good.
It feels like every trade they made, they didn't get up They didn't give up anybody to get anyone.
But they did here, Tom.
Miguel Vargas.
It took him a couple years, but he nailed it.
855 OPS, 29 home runs, 76 runs batted in.
The White Sox combo at the top makes them very dangerous down the stretch with Vargas and Murakami and Montgomery, and then the next guy we'll talk about- and Peters as well.
Yeah, really great stuff from the White Sox as of late.
Especially with the Guardians who were super hot.
They kind of cooled off.
You know, the Twins were not a team that you and I believed in.
They've kind of taken a step back, and the White Sox are really jumping at this opportunity to take control of the AL Central, which has just been a complete mess over many months at this point, and it's really being powered by some really timely hitting.
And the White Sox went through really high peaks i- in May, and then went through some lows, and now they're kind of finding their balance right now.
And, you know, what Murakami provides at the top of the lineup with Vargas having the year he has behind him, and then with some of those other guys, the two Montgomerys, which is great, the White Sox are in a spot to win the division.
They've had a great year.
No matter how it ends, it's been fantastic for them.
Could be an all-time October for Chicago.
Cubs and White Sox- Ooh both may be playing the first week in the postseason, and I, I would guess they'd alternate days.
I mean, they certainly couldn't put the Cubs and White Sox both playing at the same time in the first week of the postseason.
We're, we're on the verge of that happening.
