Why Simpson won't be a 'factor' this season
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Ty Simpson made two touchdown passes in his preseason debut, but according to Kyle Dvorchak, the rookie won't be a 'factor' this season, and shouldn't be a top fantasy pick.

Rams first round rookie quarterback Ty Simpson threw two touchdown passes in his preseason debut.
In total, he goes 21 of 25, 190 yards, no interceptions, no sacks.
Ty Simpson wasn't necessarily perfect, but this is just about as close as you're going to get over what was nearly a full game.
I do say nearly a full game because Stetson Bennett got a few reps, but largely this was a full and near perfect game from Ty Simpson.
The good news is he truly does look the part of a first round quarterback.
I think some people, myself included, were skeptical that he should even go in the first round, let alone as high as the Rams took him in the top half of the first round.
Thought he was very much a end of the first, early second round type of pick.
The good news is I think I might've been wrong about that.
The bad news, at least in terms of people who can't be patient, the bad news is that Sean McVay just does not play relevant players in the preseason.
It's a time for him to develop his backups, flesh out that 53 man roster.
He just doesn't use it to look at anyone who he thinks will really be impactful during the regular season.
This, the fact that Ty Simpson is playing this game should not be a surprise.
He's not going to be a factor this year as good as he looked, which he did look good.
Ty Simpson is a draft pick for the future.
He's not playing this year.
There's maybe a chance he plays next year, but really you're looking at that third and fourth year of his rookie contract where he's going to make an impact.
But like I said, the good news is I do think at some point he will make an impact for this team.
Right now he's really just a dynasty or a deep super flex bet.
Still not a player I'm too worried about in redraft.
