In assessing Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Garry, Aspinall said sustained control across five rounds seems likelier than a single perfect shot, while acknowledging Garry has a path. Makhachev is 28-1 with 16 straight UFC victories, after four lightweight title defenses and a move up to claim the welterweight title last year. Garry is 17-1, owns nine UFC wins, and previously lost to Shavkat Rakhmonov.
