Spanish winger Nico Williams is reported to be a major target for Arsenal during this transfer window, with the Gunners keen to meet his £77m release clause fee at Athletic Club. Now that the small matter of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is out of the way, we can get back to the real action, the transfer market.
Just a couple of weeks until the Premier League season kicks off for 2026-27.
But who is looking likely to do business before that opening weekend of the season, and who has still got some work to do?
Well, let's get into all the rumors that are currently going on right now and some of the biggest done deals that have been completed over the previous weekend and the start of this week.

We'll start with Manchester United, because they are leading the chase for Roma and French midfielder Manu Kone, but they will face competition for his signature from Arsenal.
Arsenal have also revived their interest in Athletic Club's winger Nico Williams, who of course recently won the World Cup with Spain.
But the 23-year-old winger has a 77 million pound release clause in his contract with the Bilbao giants.
Is that affordable for Arsenal?
Well, in today's market, that's actually not too much, to be honest.
Cressencio Summerville's future has been the subject of much speculation since West Ham United were relegated to the championship last season, and Aston Villa are one of the front runners to take his signature.
An offer has not yet materialized from the Villans, however, Roma over in Italy, they have made a bid for him, although the Hammers have rejected that bid.
That bid was said to be around 46 million euros, which is approximately 39 million pounds.
They're gonna have to go higher than that to get the Dutchman's services this summer.
Newcastle United and Leeds United are among Premier League clubs that are looking at FC Midtjylland striker Fransolino Djou, and the Danish club are looking for an offer in excess of 21 million pounds for the international from Guinea-Bissau.
Ferran Torres, of course, the man who won the World Cup for Spain just the other day, he only has one year left on his current deal with FC Barcelona.
The Catalan giants are open to extending his deal, but there's serious interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain over in France.
Ipswich Town have agreed a deal to sign 29-year-old Moroccan center-back Issa Diop from Fulham for around 10 million euros or 8.5 million pounds.
AC Milan have identified young Genk winger Kostas Natinos Chrastas I'm not trying that again.
Kostas.
We're gonna call him Kostas from now on, as their next summer target, but may have to sell Rafael Leao in order to free the funds up to get his services.

Leeds have signed defender Tarik Murhamanic.

But anyway, they have signed him for 34 million pounds from Sassuolo over in Serie A. Aston Villa have completed the signing of Johan Manzambi from Freiburg in a deal worth just over 50 million pounds.
That, by the way, is a club record for the Villans.
Coventry City have signed Eintracht Frankfurt defender Aurel Amenda in a deal worth more than 17 million pounds.
That covers an initial 15.4 million pounds, plus a further 1.7 million in add-ons.
And he's signed a four-year contract at the Coventry City Stadium.
Forget what it's called these days.
