And I was mentioning, earlier that once again, we can't even make it out of the preseason without some sort of bad news happening.
And, Breece Hall, their, their running back that they just signed for an additional $14.5 million in new money, without a contact, apparently untouched, dropped.
They're saying it is a groin injury.
They're not sure how severe, waiting for the results to come back.
But this is why Jet fans can't have nice things, Greg.
I'm just gonna say it.
I fully anticipated- Yeah at least being able to get to week three before I ru- de- said the season was over, but we may not make it out of preseason.
Geno Smith's already hurt.
He didn't play.
Kid Kubik played in the first preseason game, and now Breece Hall is not being touched, and he's got a groin injury.
So just like that, not going well so far for the New York Jets.
No, and, you know, I, I think that we'll have to get the results.
They'll do an MRI.
No matter what they say, they'll do an MRI.
We'll find out tomorrow probably of that.
I, I don't think Breece Hall's a huge factor in what the Jets do.
I don't, I don't think it's gonna make a difference.
I, I, I just don't think Breece Hall I hate to say it, Joe, I don't think he's that good.
As a rookie, I thought- he was gonna be the very best running back in the NFL.
But the last couple of years, even when he has been healthy, I mean, the guys playing behind him sometimes looked better than him.
Right.
And then they gave other guys opportunities, too.
So, i- i- there's so much time between now and the regular season.
There really is.
There's still plenty of time for him to get ready.
But I think the bigger injury, and the injuries have piled up in particular to one team, it seems to be the Arizona Cardinals- Oof because I think they've lost now, their, a- almost all the guys who they took early in the draft.
Jeremiah Love, now that's a high ankle sprain.
That's diagnosed.
That's a month.
So- Mm-hmm i- if you're the Cardinals, and you're arguably one of the worst teams in the NFL, if you're not as bad as Miami or Cleveland or maybe some- somebody I'm forgetting, it would seem to me that Arizona is now there.
So I, I would say that the Cardinals, to me, would have no rushing for Jeremiah Love, no reason to do that whatsoever.
And as you can see there, fewest regular season wins.
Arizona now sticks out like a sore thumb there after all of these injuries.
So that does make some sense.
The Cardinals, I don't know.
Chris, you could tell me who's on the depth chart behind Jeremiah Love at running back, not that it really means all that much.
But it's Jakobi Brissett, and it is, Marvin Harrison, and then James Conner's back again.
Oh, y'all, Trey Benson.
Yeah.
What have I Thought that was my fantasy guy.
What a bust he was.
Yeah, Al- Algier probably will get the majority of the carries while he's out.
But it is Jakobi Brissett, Joe.
Like, Jakobi Brissett- Yep last year, for about six or seven games, decided that Michael Wilson, is gonna be his best friend, and those two guys connected like I've never seen any connection before.
Yep.
I would guess that'll happen again.
So what's gonna happen with Arizona?
They're gonna play a lot of fun games this year.
They're gonna be down 17 to 3 in the second quarter, and then Jakobi Brissett's gonna look awesome again, just like he did, because they were literally losing every single game where he piled up these stats.
It wasn't like Brissett was leading them to wins, Joe.
They were down- Right by a million, and then kept coming back because the defense would just stop at that point.
So, I, I, I think those odds are right, by the way.
I, I thought Miami was the worst team in the NFL going into the season.
I now think that Arizona is.
There's, too many injuries to sustain.
Jets is a possibility, of course, there, too.
I think the Raiders will be a little bit better.
I, I don't think they'll be as bad as the Browns
