Trevor Zegras, the overtime hero for the Flyers.
A night of heroes, though.
So many players performed well.
But Trev, let's talk first of all about the, the game-winning goal.
I mean, the overtime, the three on three is kind of a chess match, but explain that shift.
You, you won some battles in the offensive zone, puck goes down the ice, take it over from there.
Yeah, I mean, you kinda just try to empty the tank, you know?
It's probably your last shift of the, the actual game, so, me and Dvo just tried to win a couple battles, and then, yeah, like you said, it's a little bit of a chess game, and, just took a shot and it went in, so it's nice.
Well, you took the shot, you get the goal, you've tied your career high for goals in a season.
I know the goals haven't been coming lately.
You've certainly been piling up the assists.
is it on your mind when you go five, six, seven games without a goal?
Do you even think about it, or do you not even know?
Not when you play with Owen Tippett.
Yeah.
You just get him the puck, right?
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
That's so good.
Now let's talk about that line with Barky, who's also doing a lot of little things that, that really seem to impact you guys, keep pucks alive, and, it really seems to be working for the three of you.
What, what's the key?
Yeah, Barks is really smart, for a little guy.
He's, he's real strong in battles, and, he's not afraid to go to the front of the net, which is really good.
And, I think we just, found some good chemistry, and hopefully we keep it going.
Final question.
You guys are within two points now in both the division and the wildcard race.
I know people on the outside are surprised.
I don't get the sense you guys are surprised at all.
No, I don't think we're surprised.
I think this is kinda where we were at the start of the season, and, it's a game of runs, right?
And we had a tough little run in the middle there, and, we're picking it back up.
But before I go off, I just wanna say thanks to Samuel Eriksson for saving my butt in the last minute of the game.
You guys didn't mention that, so I figured I'd say it.
Well, I mean, he was saving a lot of people's butts.
He, he- Yeah played a great game, and- Unbelievable he's been playing so great- Unbelievable since the Olympic break.
