‘Donkey Kong Bananza’ Arrives for the Nintendo Switch 2: Here’s How to Buy the New Video Game Online

Although the Nintendo Switch 2 was just released at the beginning of June, there's only two new games, "Mario Kart World" and "Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour," available to play for the new gaming console. However, Nintendo just dropped a new game to play and it revisits a fan-favorite with a few twists and turns.

Enter " Donkey Kong Bananza " for Nintendo Switch 2 is the first DK game for a home console since 2014's "Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze" for the Nintendo Wii U (it was later rereleased for the original Nintendo Switch in 2018). The new game is now available for purchase for $69 at Walmart .

This new installment, which is a 3D platformer, features Donkey Kong on an adventure to return Odd Rock to the surface world. The rock entity got flung underground when a large meteor hit Ingot Isle. And now, after discovering Pauline, the pair have to go even deeper underground to find and collect the Banandium Gems after they were stolen by the evil VoidCo.
The game is also available to purchase at Target .

" Donkey Kong Bananza " has new smash, crash and ground-pound mechanics, which makes it possible to destroy just about everything in sight to navigate through the underground levels. In our hands-on testing of the game, we found that this new mechanic opens up a lot of possibilities for exploration and problem-solving, especially to find hidden Banandium Gems and defeat enemies and bosses. And while there is a slight learning curve, the more you play, the more you learn and the more options you have to continue your journey through Ingot Isle.
There's an inventive co-op mode that really takes advantage of the new Joy-Con 2 hardware, which essentially turns the second player's controller into a point-and-click shooter to help Donkey Kong and Pauline make short work out of enemies.
Starting on Thursday, July 16, " Donkey Kong Bananza " is available for Nintendo Switch 2 at Walmart . It's priced at $69. In the meantime, you can watch the overview trailer below.
