Moft Invisible Tripod/Ummz 5-in-1 power bank/PopSocket Kick-Out Wallet (Amy Skorheim/Rick Broida/Yahoo Tech)

Sometimes I wish my phone had two backs. Yes, that'd be weird, but I do lament the fact that there are so many cool MagSafe gadgets out there and I can only use one at a time. Thanks to that little ring of magnets on the back of an iPhone, you can add wallets, stands, tripods, car mounts, chargers, batteries and more to your phone instantly — with a satisfying "clack!". The number of such accessories out there can boggle the mind, so we tried a few dozen to come up with what we think are the best MagSafe accessories worthy of your daily use.

The best MagSafe wallets

Rick Broida/Yahoo

Available in over a dozen colors, Moft's origami-inspired, vegan-leather wallet is as slim as they come, measuring just 0.2-inch thick — at least until you add one or two cards, which is all it can accommodate. Even then, this is one of the most pocket-friendly MagSafe wallets you can get. It unfolds to become a surprisingly sturdy stand for both portrait and landscape viewing. And there's plenty of room to slip your fingers inside the fold-out for easier one-handed gripping. — Rick Broida, Senior Tech Writer

Pros
  • Extremely thin
  • Works equally well with portrait and landscape viewing
Cons
  • Holds only two cards

Moft

The trackable version of Moft's wallet stand is nearly indistinguishable from the original. It's a hair thicker — that's so it can house an AirTag-like Bluetooth tracker in its innards. It taps into Apple's vast FindMy tracking network, the same used by AirTags. It might seem odd to have something your phone can track attached to your phone, but since you might house some important cards in there, it's nice to know you can find it if the wallet is ever detached. — Amy Skorheim, Senior Reporter

Pros
  • Ultra thin wallet
  • Taps into Apple's FindMy network for tracking
  • Creates a sturdy pop-out stand
Cons
  • Expensive

Rick Broida/Yahoo

Most MagSafe wallets give you a card pocket and that's about it. This one does, but also opens up, billfold-style, to reveal an ID window and other pocket that can be used for cash and/or more cards. (Total card capacity here: an impressive 10.) The wallet blocks RFID signals and promises to protect your cards against demagnetization. It's also a stand, of course, suitable for portrait or landscape orientation. And ExtreLife offers this in your choice of 10 colors. I just wish it had a stretchy band or something similar at the rear for good one-handed gripping. — Rick Broida, Senior Tech Writer

Pros
  • Roomy billfold-style wallet
  • Blocks RFID signals, guards against card demagnetization
  • Lots of color choices
Cons
  • No grip

Amy Skorheim/Yahoo

My favorite MagSafe wallet is probably the one from Moft. But I sometimes find it tricky to get the cards out, and it can only hold two. PopSockets Kick-Out Wallet solves that issue with a three-card capacity and a fabric-covered cutout that lets you push your cards up for easy access. It is noticeably thicker than the Moft version, but the extra features compensate.

The wallet tilts out to create a stand which you can rotate for portrait or landscape viewing. And of course, since it's a PopSocket product, it comes in fun colors and features the grippable pop-out knob. — Amy Skorheim, Senior Reporter

Pros
  • Easy access to three cards
  • Includes a grip
Cons
  • Expensive
  • More than doubles your phones thickness

The best MagSafe grips

Amy Skorheim/Yahoo Tech

PopSockets grips are one of the first smartphone accessories I remember. The original grip is still just as useful all these years later. It's magnetic now thanks to MagSafe, and if your phone is magnet-less, you can stick the included adapter ring onto any smooth case or phone. The pop-out grip makes it far more comfortable to hold a phone for long periods of time, and tapping one-handed is easier too. Plus, those interested in expressing themselves through their phone's style will find a dizzying number of colors, designs and collabs. Those who want to keep it simple will appreciate standard issue black .  — Amy Skorheim, Senior Reporter

Pros
  • Simple and cheap grip
  • Comes in a huge array of colors and designs
  • Makes holding and tapping easier
Cons
  • Pulling out the knob can be fiddly

OhSnap

The Snap 4 Luxe is the only iPhone grip/stand combo I've found that is, itself, magnetic, while also supporting "pass-through" wireless charging, meaning you don't have to remove it every time you want to use a charging pad or dock. (That may not sound like a big deal, but trust me, it is.)

Meanwhile, it's incredibly thin—thinner than some iPhone camera "bumps," in fact—with a sturdy pop-up plastic grip that can also tilt and lock to become a stand. At $40, it's a little on the pricey side, but I've used mine daily for several months and it's still in great shape. Worth the investment! — Rick Broida, Senior Tech Writer

Pros
  • Supports pass-through charging
  • Magnetic on the outside, too
  • Comfortable grip
  • Stand works in portrait and landscape orientations
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Can get hot depending on charging pad

The best MagSafe power banks

Rick and I actually have an entire guide devoted to MagSafe power banks with eight killer picks. Here are a few highlights, but if you want the full story, head over there.

Amy Skorheim / Yahoo Tech

The new Iniu Snap Go 10K has a digital display readout and supports the new Qi2 25w charging standard . It's ulra slim profile and quite reasonable with a $70 starting price (and it’s often on sale). It packs 10,000 mAh but is nearly half the thickness of other 10K banks, making it more comfortable to use while it charges a phone.

There’s not an integrated cable, but the attached lanyard uses a USB-C cable as its loop, which means you always have a way to connect your USB-C devices. It's speedy, too. In just 43 minutes, it gave an iPhone 16 (which supports 25W wireless speeds, like the iPhone 17) a 55% boost, getting it all the way to 100% in under two hours. It doesn't have a stand, but it charges so fast, it won't be stuck to the battery long so you can use whichever stand you like once it's charged. Plus it’s got a nearly unheard of three-year warranty . — Amy Skorheim, Senior Reporter, Yahoo Tech

Pros
  • Remarkably compact
  • On-board display
  • 3-year warranty
Cons
  • No stand
  • Included cable isn't built-in

Rick Broida/Yahoo

Why settle for charging just your iPhone when you can also charge your AirPods and/or Apple Watch? This 10,000-mAh power bank can handle all three — not simultaneously, of course, but it does have a pair of USB ports for plugging in other devices.

It also looks really cool, with orange accents and an industrial design. You also get folding AC prongs for recharging the charger, a fold-out ring stand and a USB-C cable (for external-device charging) that doubles as a finger strap — pretty ingenious. Other than the lack of Qi2 certification, this is my new-favorite MagSafe battery pack.

Pros
  • Snazzy looks
  • Low price
  • Plugs directly into wall outlet for recharging
  • Can also recharge AirPods and Apple Watch
Cons
  • Not Qi2-certified

The best MagSafe stands and mounts

Amy Skorheim / Yahoo Tech

The Spigen MagFit selfie stick folds up to around the same height as (but skinnier than) a 800ml Kleen Kanteen bottle. From there, a secure and rotating MagSafe ring folds out from the body, creating a nice handheld grip extender. Push a button on the bottom and three legs pop out to create a sturdy table-top tripod. If you set those legs on the floor, you can then pull out the telescoping pole to a height of over five feet. Shrink the pole down a bit and collapse the legs and you’ve got a telescoping selfie stick.

Plus there’s a Bluetooth remote that magnetically attaches to the side, so you can use it on the stick, or remove it for distance shots. When I used it with the center pole all the way extended, my phone wobbled a little, which isn’t surprising and it was easy enough to steady. The magnetic attachment is firm, which made me much more comfortable having my phone hanging out at head height. And the Bluetooth remote connected quickly and triggered the shutter reliably.

In all, this is a remarkably versatile mount, stand and grip for your iPhone, and something content creators will probably get a ton of use out of. — Amy Skorheim, Senior Reporter, Yahoo Tech

Pros
  • Remarkably compact
  • Extends to a 5-foot tripod
  • Includes a Bluetooth remote
  • Highly adjustable head mount
Cons
  • Only comes in black and white

Amy Skorheim/Yahoo Tech

I don't get to use the Moft Snap Invisible tripod stand very often because my kid and his little friend steal it (and one of my old phones) to make their stop-motion LEGO videos. But from what I can remember, it's a remarkably thin way to add an adjustable tripod to the back of your phone. It can hold the device a good three inches off the table (measured to the bottom of the screen) which puts your camera at about 8 inches high. You can orient the phone vertically or horizontally and it works just as well for viewing as it does for filming. — Amy Skorheim, Senior Reporter

Pros
  • Folds down to nearly nothing
  • Holds your phone in different positions
  • Sturdy
Cons
  • Takes some adjustments to align the phone horizontally

Lisen

It may have "airplane" in the name, but this ingenious phone mount is designed to clip to just about anything: a desk, a table, the edge of a cupboard door, you name it. I especially like mounting it to the extended handle of my carry-on bag so I can watch movies hands-free while waiting to board my flight. The MagSafe mount arm can extend, bend and rotate to give you the best possible viewing angle. Seriously, this thing is awesome. Get one. — Rick Broida, Senior Tech Writer

Pros
  • Can clip to just about tray-like surface
  • Inexpensive, and often on sale
  • Very compact when folded for travel
Cons
  • Spring clip is very stiff

Amy Skorheim / Yahoo Tech

If you need to glance at directions on your phone while you drive, it’s better to have it at eye level rather than sliding around on the center console somewhere. The ESR OmniLock mount supports the latest — i.e. fastest — Qi2 245W charging standard (just be sure to use the cable and 12V adapter that comes with it).

It’s easy to position and reposition, but locks down tight once you have it pointed the way you want. When I drove around with it in place, my phone jiggled a little, but it wasn’t enough to be distracting. There's even a little fan built in to keep your phone cool as it charges.

If your AC vents aren’t compatible, or you just don’t like the look, we also recommend the iOttie Velox Pro . It mounts to either your windshield or your dashboard and also comes with a built-in fan. — Amy Skorheim, Senior Reporter, Yahoo Tech

Pros
  • Supports the latest wireless charging tech
  • Highly adjustable head
  • Secure attachment with little wobble
Cons
  • More expensive than non Qi2 25W chargers
  • May not fit all car vents

Amy Skorheim/Yahoo Tech

You never know how much bedside space you'll have in your next hotel room (some Vrbo rentals are even worse in that department). Anker's Prime wireless charging station folds up into a compact, palmable puck and folds out to accommodate charging for an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods in the same footprint as a deck of cards. It's Qi2 25W-certified, which means it can charge an iPhone 16 or 17 at 25-watt speeds. There's even a small AirCool fan inside to make sure nothing gets too hot. — Amy Skorheim, Senior Reporter

Pros
  • Fast Qi2 25w phone charging
  • Folds up to a compact puck for travel
  • Takes up minimal space
  • Power adapter included
Cons
  • Expensive

MagSafe FAQs

What is MagSafe?

In short, it's Apple 's proprietary term for a magnetic connection that also allows charging. The company first introduced it on MacBooks as a charging port that would quickly disconnect if someone tripped on the cable. No more flying laptops.

But when most people use the term MagSafe, they're referring to the magnetic ring on the back of newer iPhones. That ring will let you properly align your handset for wireless charging, but it also opens up a whole world of fun and funky little addons — not unlike the wallets, stands and grips we mention above.

Which iPhones have MagSafe?

Apple introduced MagSafe for its smartphones with the iPhone 12 back in 2020. Every model since then has come with the technology, with the exception of the iPhone SE and iPhone 16e (the 2026 iPhone 17e , thankfully, remembered the magnets).

Can I use a case with MagSafe accessories?

Yes. But it's better if it's a MagSafe-compatible case, which has its own metal ring embedded in the case for accessories to grab on to. If a standard case is very thin (and not metallic) MagSafe accessories will attach, but not as strongly. This perhaps suggests that MagSafe tech is really only critical for those who like to strut about with a naked iPhone, since it's really the case that your accessories attach to — something that makes the lack of a similar technology on many Android phones seem less critical.

Will MagSafe chargers and other accessories work with Android phones?

Yep. All you need is a compatible magnetic case. If you're looking for an Android phone with native magnetic charging abilities, the list is short. Google finally introduced its own version of MagSafe with Pixelsnap , starting with the Pixel 10 series in 2025. The only other Android magnet-enabled phone is the HMD Skyline .

You can buy a MagSafe adapter (some accessories come with one). The thin, adhesive metal ring clings to the smooth surface of a case or phone to lend MagSafe-like powers to otherwise unempowered devices. Just note that you'll need to apply the ring in the right spot to take advantage of wireless charging. You'll also want to make sure the accessory will accommodate your android phone — I've tried some MagSafe wallets with my Samsung phone only to find that the accessory blocked one of the cameras.

Best MagSafe accessories for Android

Technically, there's no such thing as MagSafe products for Android; Apple coined the term and owns the trademark . But there are Android phones that have the same technology — wireless charging and magnetic attachment. Currently that's the latest Google Pixel 10 series and the HMD Skyline.

Adding a magnetic case to an Android phone will let you use many MagSafe accessories, and if that phone supports wireless charging, you can use battery packs and wireless charging mounts, too. The one thing to note is that the camera array on some smartphones, particularly the latest Samsung Galaxy S-series, get in the way of some magnetic add-ons.

That said, I've used the following accessories from the above list on a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra without issue:
