Taco Bell fans have done it again—they've successfully pressured the company to bring another test menu item nationwide .
On Thursday, the fan-favorite fast food chain confirmed its Crispy Chicken Tacos and Crispy Chicken Burritos would soon be available at locations across the country.
The two new menu items were inspired by the success of the chain's viral Crispy Chicken Nuggets , which are loved by celebrities , fans and fitness enthusiasts alike for their crispy exterior and zesty flavor that packs 68 grams of protein into 10 nuggets. Taco Bell said it saw how much fans loved them and thought, "How can we make this more Taco Bell?" and then proceeded to stuff its larger, returning favorite—its Crispy Chicken Strips —into two of its most popular menu items.

"Crispy chicken is having a moment, but our fans made it a movement," Taylor Montgomery, chief marketing officer at Taco Bell, said in a statement. "So, we decided to bring our sell-out Nuggets recipe to the formats that defined our brand because true innovation means elevating the icons, not replacing them. We're not like every other chicken spot out there, we're doing crispy chicken the only way we know how: full of flavor and unmistakably Taco Bell."
Debuting with the new entrees are two new "creamy" sauces : its Spicy Ranchero Sauce, which offers a "hint of spice" and is made with Anaheim and jalapeño chiles, tomatoes, garlic, and onion, and its new Avocado Ranch Sauce, described as a "zesty" ranch with a hint of avocado. Both can be ordered with the latest additions or a la carte.

Taco Bell's new Crispy Chicken Taco ($2.79) is officially described as a "harmonious combination" of a single "perfectly crisped" Crispy Chicken Strip layered with purple cabbage, lettuce, pico de gallo and shredded cheddar cheese with the choice of the all-new Spicy Ranchero Sauce or Avocado Ranch Sauce.
It said its Crispy Chicken Burrito ($5.49) takes a full-sized burrito and stacks two Crispy Chicken Strips alongside a bed of purple cabbage, lettuce, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese with the choice of the all-new Spicy Ranchero Sauce or Avocado Ranch Sauce.

"The craving for crispy chicken is growing every single day and our fans told us loud and
clear: give us more. We listened, continued to innovate and have now delivered," added Taco Bell global chief food innovation officer, Liz Matthews. "From our viral Crispy Chicken Nuggets to now with Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos, we're not just jumping on a trend – we're redesigning it completely with the signature flavor of Taco Bell. Reinventing what crispy chicken can be is a challenge we've fully embraced and executed, and these menu additions are just the beginning."
The Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos had initially only been available at select Taco Bell locations in Charlotte, N.C., but the company said it would be launching the entrees at participating restaurants nationwide beginning on Tuesday, June 17 and only for a limited time (or as long as supplies last). Prices may vary by location.
As for what else fans can expect from the brand, it confirmed: "Crispy Chicken is the future." While it remained tight-lipped on all else, Taco Bell did say its Crispy Chicken will become a permanent menu offering in 2026.
