Wendy’s gets into the chicken tenders game with ‘Tendys’ and 6 new sauces
September 30, 2025 – Wendy's has introduced a new menu item called Chicken Tenders, branded as "Tendys," now available at all Wendy's locations across the United States. The launch includes six new dipping sauces designed to enhance the flavor experience for customers.
These Chicken Tenders feature seasoned, crispy breading on the outside and juicy, all-white-meat chicken inside. Wendy's culinary team developed the tenders with a focus on delivering a crunchy texture paired with tenderness.
To complement the tenders, the company is offering six sauces nearly twice the size of previous options, allowing for more dipping enjoyment.
Wendy's Signature:Creamy sauce with black pepper and hot sauce notes.
Sweet Chili:A sweet and mildly spicy sauce with sriracha, garlic, and ginger flavors.
Scorchin' Hot:Creamy hot sauce with a gradual heat build.
Creamy Ranch:Rich and creamy, suitable for all dipping needs.
Honey BBQ:A blend of sweet and smoky barbecue flavors.
Honey Mustard:Sweet honey combined with tangy Dijon mustard.
Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy's Company, stated, "Chicken innovation is in our DNA at Wendy's, and we've tapped into our years of chicken experience to craft our new Wendy's Tendys. Consumers told us what they wanted in a chicken tender, and we listened - taste-tested, fine-tuned and delivered."
Becky Davis, Vice President of Global Culinary Innovation, added, "Wendy's new Tendys are bold, juicy and crispy, paired with a lineup of new sauces that deliver a uniquely Wendy's experience for fans in every bite."
The Chicken Tenders are offered in three- or four-piece servings, available a la carte or as part of combo meals. Each order includes two dipping sauces, with additional sauces available for a small charge. For younger customers, a two-piece Tendys option is available in the Wendy's Kids' Meal®, which includes one dipping sauce.
Packaging has been designed with dipping in mind, featuring a dip-cup cutout to hold the sauces securely. To celebrate the launch, some Wendy's restaurants in select cities will temporarily rebrand as "Tendy's" in October.
