October 7, 2026
To register your home-instructed student for the PSAT/NMSQT or SAT School Day, please contact your local high school’s Director of Student Services (DSS). Payment of an exam fee is required to register. The high school DSS will be able to provide information about the exam fee and any fee waivers that may be available. Registration must be completed and payment must be received by August 27, 2026, so the exam can be ordered in time for testing on October 7, 2026. The DSS or designated coordinator will confirm test day details after registration and payment are processed.
Students with disabilities who will be participating in College Board testing (AP, PSAT/NMSQT or SAT) may be eligible for accommodations.
Requesting Accommodations Through the Local High School
The best way to request accommodations for your student is to contact the Director of Student Services (DSS) at your local high school to submit an accommodations request.
The deadline for accommodations input and consent forms to be returned to the school is August 3, 2026 . Additional information about the process and required forms can be found on the Accommodations Process for College Board Testing webpage.
Requesting Accommodations Directly Through the College Board
Families of home instructed students may submit requests for testing accommodations directly to the College Board using the Student Eligibility Form (PDF) and then faxing or mailing it with the supporting documentation to Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD).
Requests submitted directly to the College Board must be received by August 17, 2026, to be considered for the October 7, 2026, PSAT/NMSQT or SAT School Day administration at a FCPS site. Full details on how to submit a request are available on the College Board Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) web page.
Multilingual learners (MLs), defined as English learners under federal and state policy, are eligible for testing supports for the PSAT/NMSQT or SAT School Day.
To request ML supports for the PSAT/NMSQT or SAT School Day, contact the Director of Student Services (DSS) at your student's local high school to submit a request. ML supports are temporary and must be requested each school year.
If requesting ML supports for the PSAT/NMSQT or SAT School Day, the required input and consent forms are due to the school by August 27, 2026. The ML Supports Process for College Board Testing webpage provides additional information about the process to request ML testing supports.
