Hello Team FCPS,
What a great spring break week!! I trust many of you have had an opportunity to enjoy some time away and hopefully even getting some quality outside time in with friends and family. Because it is spring break and a holiday weekend for many of us, I am limiting my 'reflections' today in the hope that we can all continue to enjoy the amazing opportunities this spring break has provided. Sometimes, less is more ;>)
I look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks as we continue our support of students and their journey over the last several months of the school year. It is truly amazing to pause and reflect on all we have accomplished through these past few years and those opportunities yet to come, the result of so many and your careful planning, dedication, and thoughtful implementation in each of your unique roles across this incredible school division. In many ways, spring is a season that reminds us how wonderful change and growth can be. We have a great deal to celebrate. Together, all things are possible...
Finally, one of my favorite spring thoughts from Charlotte Brontë; "Spring drew on...and a greenness grew over those brown beds, which, freshening daily, suggested the thought that hope traversed them at night and left each morning brighter traces of her steps."
Enjoy the remainder of this joyful spring break, and the coming days ahead – these are indeed our very best days.
Take good care,
Michelle Reid, Ed.D.
