Profile

Seema Dixit began serving her first term as the Sully District representative on the Fairfax County School Board on January 1, 2024. Her current term expires December 31, 2027. Ms. Dixit has been a resident of Sully District where she has lived with her family since 2004. She is the mother of two FCPS students. 

Ms. Dixit is a small business owner and the co-founder of a women’s empowerment foundation. She has been an active member of the community for years, serving on committees, volunteering, and engaging with families. This experience has given her unique insights into the challenges and opportunities facing our schools. Ms. Dixit is determined to be a voice for every student and family, regardless of background or circumstance, and to champion policies that create a more inclusive and vibrant educational environment. 

Ms. Dixit has a genuine passion for education and its potential to shape a brighter future. She is committed to ensuring that every child in Fairfax County has access to a world-class education. Her husband and she immigrated to the US from India and worked diligently to afford their children with a wonderful life. Ms. Dixit holds a BS in Math and Physics and an MBA in International Business.

About Fairfax County's Sully District

Fairfax County is divided into nine magisterial districts , which are used for conducting elections. Magisterial districts are unrelated to school boundaries. Seema Dixit was elected to serve as the  School Board member to represent the Sully magisterial district.
