Book Club

The Liberty Book Club is a space for students to connect over stories in a low-pressure, welcoming setting. Each month, the group picks a title to read, then meets to talk about the book, try out themed activities, and enjoy games that bring the story to life. Students don’t have to attend every week—just drop in when you can. Whether you’re a devoted reader or just looking for a fun way to spend time with friends, the Liberty Book Club offers conversation, creativity, and plenty of opportunities to discover something new.

Dungeons & Dragons

In the Dungeons & Dragons Club, students learn the basics of playing D&D 5th Edition, creating their own characters filled with skills, abilities, and wonderfully silly traits. They write original adventures and dungeons for others to explore, taking turns as Game Master to lead the action. Throughout their journeys, students work as a team to accomplish goals, defeat evil, and bravely squash giant fictional spiders. Along the way, they apply critical thinking to solve puzzles and riddles, and use improv acting skills to create countless hilarious moments, often involving squirrels! The club blends creativity, teamwork, and quick thinking into unforgettable adventures.students playing a game

Get2Green

At Liberty Middle School, environmental stewardship is an important part of who we are. Through Fairfax County Public Schools’ Get2Green program, Liberty students take an active role in caring for our chickens, maintaining our fish habitats and bluebird houses, and leading recycling initiatives. Get2Green supports our commitment to hands-on sustainability efforts by providing resources, guidance, and projects that make a real impact both in our school and in the community. Whether tending to wildlife, reducing waste, or learning about global citizenship, Liberty students are proud to be part of a school where environmental action and stewardship are part of everyday life.
