成人の日はもうすぐですね。
毎年報道される成人式での有様は嘆かわしいものもあります。
法定成人年齢が20歳というのは、先進国の中では高いのですね。
年齢で区切るのは当然のことですが、
結局は、個人の問題ですね。

=to use a particular amount of time for something, or give a particular share of money, space etc to someone or something

=(law）someone who is below the age at which they become legally responsible for their actions
age of majority
=the age when someone legally becomes an adult
reach majority/the age of majority

-Majority-
It refers to the age when you assume majoritiy control over your life. And the reason is that we are never able to really have full contorol over our life. There....thing like death what you just can't concotrol. So we use the words mojority control
They have even less control. It's minor control and the parents have the rest .

=possibly, but not certainly:
if anything [ どちらかと言えば
=used when adding a remark that changes what you have just said or makes it stronger

いつも月・水・金の11時40分からの放送をトークマスターで録音していますが、この日の放送はトラブルで無音、そして変なミュージックだったのですね。当然、録音されていると思っていた私、mixiで情報を得て、慌てて最終の録音で間に合い、昨日も何故か原因不明で失敗。今日の再放送で事なきを得ました。何度も再放送あるのでいいですが、早め早めのチェックが大事ですね。

いろんな言い方がありますね。
この上級の番組はビジネス英語とおなじくらいむずかしいというかやりがいがありますね。
7日の裁判員という表現もこれからは覚えておかなといけない表現だなあと、赤ペンでしっかりチェックをいれました。layに素人という意味があったのをすっかり忘れてて頭をひねりました。 (2008年01月12日 22時14分54秒)
