Later, in this country, demographic aging is accelerating, and men are having trouble getting married due to gender imbalance.Then Authority began to encourage childbirth, but birthrate hasn't risen partly because of change of value.It's easy to get astounded how this Authority is selfish, telling general public not to have babies and have babies, But we have to mind our country where Authorities appealed in 1974 that whole nation must make further efforts to curb population growth.Now, although it's not right to say that the current declining birth rate is results of birth control back then,I cannot help letting imagination run wild that this society is still ruled by men unable to update mind structure since then, and that's why they still have no measures to deal with rapidly declining birthrate.2. It's one of the usual practices of rulers to stir up general public's hates against different neighboring countries in order to deflect general public's anger against rulers.For example, in the neighboring Peninsular country of Southern half.But there is no assuring that the same thing is not going on in the country which this country set up as an imaginary enemy and heap abuses upon. -Already last year alone, taxpayer-funded cherry blossom viewing parties, entrance exam reform, consumption tax increase and so on shook the foundation of current Administration in their Imaginary-enemy country again and again.Why such thing here? レポはお正月休み中に下書きしたのですが、大変お待たせいたしました。本文中敬称略（2019年12月28日 atオリックス劇場）佐藤竹善"オオサカ～！"1.Tell Her About It2.Visions"皆さんこんばんは" 今日は初のビッグバンドとの共演"こんなマニアックなライブへようこそ"ジャズのビッグバンドで、あえてロックやポップスを、音楽のジャンルを超えて架け橋のように表現したい→中学時代、ビッグバンドやホーンセクションというものに初めて触れた3.If You Leave Me Nowビッグバンドは初めて観る人もいて、どう楽しんでいいか？と感じているかもしれないが、"元々はダンス音楽"＋自身も元々ジャズシンガーではない。だがジャズを聴いているというイメージを持たせつつ、ジャズ派の人にもメロディーの良さが伝わるアレンジにしようと…"ここから歌って踊る雰囲気にどうやって持っていくか"今日はジャズの曲もあるが、最終的にジャンルなんて吹っ飛んでしまうように→"シング・ライク・トーキングというバンドに所属してるんですけど"元々ファンク系の曲だったが、いつかビッグバンドでというアイデアを温めていた4.Together"Togetherしました？"今日はMC25分とかやっているヒマはない"中野サンプラザ公演から1曲増やしましたから"今日のメンバーは"日本のジャズ界のトップオブザトップオブザトップ…"今回のライブのためにバンド名を付けた。「Rockin' It Jazz Orchestra」Rockin' Itでロックの盛り上がりを表す本日のゲスト："ボクと同じ位カオが大きい" TOKU登場"よく聞こえなかったんですけど""ボクもTOKU位痩せなきゃ"TOKUは歌手としても素晴らしいが、彼のフリューゲルホルンは歌っているみたい5.It Don't Mean A Thing→アルバム「Cornerstones E.P」でもTOKUと共演しているが、今回エリックのアレンジで曲が新しく生まれ変わった。かつてニール・セダカがスランプに陥っていた頃、エルトン・ジョンの後押しで作り、大ヒットしたという6.Laughter In The Rain"フリューゲルホルンっていいですね"1982年に大学に入り、AORやブルーアイドソウルと呼ばれる音楽に出逢う。ジャズを聴くようになったのは90年代だったが、自身にとってAORやブルーアイドソウルは色んな音楽のルーツをたどる入口だった話"その頃の名曲3曲"「Twilight Zone」…元々テレビドラマだったのが映画化されるとき、マンハッタン・トランスファーがテーマソングを新録"回り回って、今"7.Twilight Zone / Twilight Tone8.FM9.Heart To Heart"SLTもスティーリー・ダンに出逢っていなければもっとポップな曲を書いていただろうか"大学時代、アパートの大家のおばあさんに文句を言われつつ練習していた曲もっとビッグバンドの曲を聴かせたい、と中野サンプラザ公演の後で思いついた。そのアレンジを頼んだエリック・ミヤシロの紹介日系アメリカ人3世で"来日して30年"―日本語は板についているが、英語がなまってきた話＋実は竹善と同い年なので"選曲がツボだった"そんな彼のアレンジなので、みんながリードボーカルをやっている感がある。エリックからは追加の曲として2曲提案があったが、うち1つが正に一度ビッグバンドで聞きたい曲だった10.バードランド竹善"ボクの歌より拍手が長い"ホーン全員はけるコーラスは東京では露崎春女、大阪ではFunk the Peanutsでおなじみの浦嶋りんこミュージカル「メアリー・ポピンズ」で素晴らしいパフォーマンスを魅せていた話11.Don't Know Much→ホーン・セクションにも色々あり…ドラム・カホンの"イクト君…あ、ごめんクニトくん"今回最年少で、かつてSALTの生徒だった彼が今や一流ドラマーにタンゴやアルゼンチンのイメージ、と提案したら、エリックがスペインに行ったことがあるということもあり、やってくれた話まずサックス5名フィーチャーで…12.Roxanneかつて70年・80年代は、テレビのヒット曲はその頃の音楽の影響を受けているのが多いが、その頃のサウンドが回り回って今は新しく聞こえる"「1910年代に生まれた30代」かもしれない"…1940年代の頃のトランペットの空気感はエリックも自分には出せないと言う話トランペット・二井田ひとみの紹介13.It's Only A Paper Moon竹善にとって825万回生まれ変わってやっと爪先ひとつ届くかな、と思っているボーカリストがナット・キング・コールと美空ひばり歌・歌詞・曲全て主役だと考えているが、大人になるにつれて、歌い手が素晴らしければ詞も曲も全て超えてしまう…と感じるようにナット・キング・コールへの思いを込めて…＋トロンボーンはサックスもトランペットもつなげる表現力があり、"それ故難しい要求をされることも"トロンボーン4名フィーチャーで…14.Lover, Come Back To Me"あっという間に佳境ですよ" …え、もう？とはSLTの3時間に慣れているから"ボクは踊れません。ボクの踊りは蠢いていると言われた"アルバムではサルサ・スインゴサの演奏だが、エリックにリアレンジしてもらった15.Do I Do16.Don't Stop Me Now"Rockin' It Jazz Orchestra！ありがとう！"―と言って去って…戻ってきて"あと1曲あった"【メンバー紹介】（＊ホーン隊の順番は忘れました）サックス…　庵原良司　真野崚磨　鈴木圭　鍬田修一　竹村直哉トロンボーン…　中川英二郎　半田信英　鳥塚心輔　野々下興一トランペット…　エリック・ミヤシロ　小澤篤士　　二井田ひとみ　田沼慶紀ドラム：北井誉人ベース：川村竜ギター："ブッチャー浅野さんと親友" 梶原順ピアノ：青柳誠コーラス：浦島りんこ"結構カッコよく帰っていったよね"いつか歌いたかった。ゴージャスな歌心を伝えられたら…17.Can You Stop The Rain"ありがとうございました。Rockin' It Jazz Orchestra！"【アンコール】"ビッグバンドの魅力、ロック・ジャズの魅力が伝わったら嬉しいです"今回のライブがきっかけで、ビッグバンドでライブをやりませんか、という話があった話→"ツアーグッズコーナー" …しばらく前にPerfumeのライブに行った時、"ツアーグッズコーナー！"というのがあり、見習おうと思った・湯たんぽ…竹善がムーミンを描こうとしたら似ても似つかぬ生き物（？）が描けてしまい、そこまで違ったら版権も問題ないだろうということでキャラクターにしてしまった。そのキャラをあしらったのを、今回100個しか作らなかったのが既に完売・津軽びいどろという伝統工芸のグラス "これで焼酎でもいかがでしょう"クイーンは小学校4年の頃から聞いていた。リスペクトも込めてエリックにアレンジしてもらった＋TOKUも呼ぶ18.Crazy Little Thing Called Love〈愛という名の欲望〉今回は演奏予定楽曲を事前にSpotifyで公表しており、見たところ、知っている曲（JとB「Gift」収録の「Laughter In The Rain」のように、曲は知っていても実はオリジナルを知らない、という曲も含む）と、全然知らない・タイトルだけ見ても思い出せない楽曲が混在しており、これを機にSpotifyにユーザー登録してもよかったのですが、この際、知らない曲のCDを探して聞いてみることにしました。シカゴの「If You Leave Me Now」など、聞いたら"あ、あの曲か"というのもありましたが、この度は竹善さんのおかげで、未知の音楽やアーティストに触れる機会が一気に増えました。ピーボ・ブライソンとマシュー・モリソンのCDがライブ当日までに見つかりませんでしたが、ビリー・ホリデイの「Lover, Come Back To Me〈恋人よ我に帰れ〉」のラジオ番組用収録音源のCDが図書館で見つけられたのは幸運です。「Tell Her About It」（を収録のビリー・ジョエルのベストアルバム）の"予習"中、これはライブで盛り上がりそうだ…と想像していたら1曲目でございました。どのタイミングで話したかは書き落として忘れてしまったので、本文中には書かなかったのですが、今回の東京・大阪公演のライブ音源は春にでもCD化される予定とのことです。数年前に角松敏生さんとビッグバンドの共演のステージを観た者としては"ついに竹善さんもビッグバンドとの共演が実現してくれたか" 今回のステージが東京と大阪だけで終わってしまうのはもったいないし、　今回のライブは全国のファンの方にも観てほしいとは私も思ったので、　　Rockin' It Jazz Orchestraで地方追加公演やツアーができれば理想でしょうが、　　　どんな形でも（たとえば角松さんと共演したアロージャズオーケストラのように、地元のジャズオーケストラと、など）竹善さんとビッグバンドの共演のステージは今後も実現してほしいですね。そのあかつきには、SLTの曲ももう少し演奏したらどうか…と。この日の「Together」のみならず「風に抱かれて」「My Eye's On You」なんか似つかわしいと思ったもので。（他のファンの方はどんな曲を想像されるでしょうか）あるいは今後、SLTがビッグバンドと共演しての新曲が誕生するでしょうか…そういえば竹善さんは、本田雅人さん（東京公演のみ。一度Saltish Nightには出ていましたが）や梶原順さんとの共演はこれまでなかったような…エリック・ミヤシロさんはSLTの「Empowerment」のレコーディングに参加されていた後だったか、竹善さんがラジオで"日本一高い音が出せるトランぺッター"と紹介していたなど、お噂はかねがね、だったのにこの日までステージを観たことがなかったのですが…聞きしに勝る素晴らしいトランぺッターでした。

After two eras later, still ...

　Late "Happy New Year" -and it was first New Year after the Imperial Era name changed.Former Emperor -current Emperor Emeritus abdicated at the end of last April 30 and new Emperor took throne on May 1. So last year, December 23 was not national holiday anymore.It's understandable, but at the same time, I've wondered why April 29, the birthday of the Emperor of the longest era in modern Japan is still national holiday, changing the name even twice.I brought up this artless question, And some said that this Era was so long that our country and society changed so much during this Era and its impact is great.Some who know the truth said that long consecutive holiday starting from this day called Golden Week is important for economy in our country.Whatever the reason is, I secretly think that this National holiday can be regarded as the day to admonish the backward social system.Nowadays, this Era name is often used as synonymous with outdated, anachronism, the old order -one of the synonyms is Galapagos.It's not simply generation gap.Under spontaneous population decline, population of older generation are larger in number than younger generation.Then older generation have decision-making authority by force of numbers -it's shown at elections; younger voters are fewer in number and lower in voting rate.Older generation criticize younger generation that they are ill-mannered and weak-willed.Younger generation counter that they've just become realistic while they are underpaid and overworked, and this situation is created by older generation's debacle, and besides, older generation is more ill-mannered.Needless to say, there are Older-generation people who are humble, flexible and attend to various kinds of people impartially.The problem is Older generations -especially MEN who are unable to get rid of illusion of Bubble era, blindly believe in seniority, romanticize how they went through hardship and pass down those "hardship" to younger generation in the form of harassment, cling to anachronism that women are supposed to be subordinate to men unconditionally and lechery is men's prerogative. -Something else?Bluntly speaking, those Older generations will die out, though -and when current Younger generation grow up to be Older generation, there is no assuring that future Younger generation don't complain about Older generation.It's true that people tend to be inflexible as we get older, and I confess I'm also the one who has to be careful in age.Then, what can we do to instead of lamenting today and feel discouraged about future?There are things to learn from people elderly in age who are admired and respected by wide range of people -For example, a veteran golfer mentions how he has kept on fighting as a golfer with four words; fighting spirit, curiosity, competitive spirit, willingness to challenge -which can be expressed differently with each person.In our country, under the current law, era name changes when Emperor changes.So outwardly, this year 2020 Anno Domini is 2nd year of the current Imperial Era.But as long as our country is ruled by moss-headed men mentioned above who assume our society is consisted of only healthy male fellow countrymen and don't update outdated mental structure,　We could call this year as 95th year of the Longest era in modern Japan.　　I could line up the name of those people, but I refrain. 　　　-Me? Last spring, at my workplace, we changed all the dating of documents to the Gregorian calendar in order to avoid confusion, and now I use Era name only on calendars, New Year's greeting cards -and legal and financial procedure scenes.
