パーティーがあったらできるだけ参加するようにしている。
友達を増やすため＋英語力アップのため。
でも、ネイティブ同士の会話についていくのは大変なので
気が進まないときもある。
今日は十数人のこぢんまりしたパーティーだった上に
以前から知ってる人が４人いたので、さほどナーバスにならずにすんだ。
でもやっぱり大変なんだよね。
ネイティブばっかりの中に、外国人１人という状況は……
疲れた。ZZZZZ...

※ピッツェリアのメニューの中で見つけた言葉。ヒシの実のことらしいけど、ヒシの実ってなんだ？？「osaka special」という種類のピザがあって、その中の具のひとつとして紹介されていた。なぜピッツァに大阪という名が付けられたのかは、ナゾ。しかも（人気がないためか）メニューから削除されてしまったらしい。
dogmatic 押し付けがましい、独断的な
hubris = the fact of sb being too proud. In literature, a character with this pride ignores warnings and laws and this usually results in their downfall（=失脚） and death.
debrief = to ask sb questions officially, in order to get information about the task that they have just completed.
