マタレアシクロフィラがやっと起きました(finally awaken matelea cyclophylla)
6月も終わりに近づいて、マタレアシクロフィラがやっと新葉を出し始めました。Closer to end of june, finally matelea cyclophylla has begun to new leaf out.カルノーサムも新葉を出し始めましたが、冬型種ですよね・・・Pelargonium carnosum is beginning to new leaf out, too but it is winter grower is it?

種まき･ダシリリオンロンギシッマムとボーカルネアグラキリス(sowing dasylirion longissimum & beaucarnea gracilis)
小田園芸さんに頼まれたダシリリオンとボーカルネア、面白そうなので余分に注文して蒔いてみました。どちらも軽く（２～３ｍｍ）土をかぶせた方がいいそうです。Dasylirion & beaucarnea that was asked to order by "Oda Engei" and I was interested and ordered extra. It seems it is better to cover(2～3㎜) with soil.1週間くらいで発芽が始まりました。室内保管で最低温度は22～23℃くらいでした。Germination has started a week after sowing. Placed indoor and minimum temp was about 22℃～23℃。ダシリリオン dasylirionボーカルネア beaucarnea

奇想天外･本葉(welwitschia mirabilis)
種を蒔いてから約3週間、植え替え後も調子がいいようで、早いものは本葉がでてきました。About 3 weeks passed after sowing. It seems that it is growing well,too after replanting. Growing fast one has sprouted first "true" leaves.

パキポディウム(pachypodium)
ホロンベンセとして入手したパキポディウム、初めて花芽が上がってきました。種類によって開花の時期がずいぶん違います。入手して7年目になりますが、大きさはほとんど変わらず、3本しかなかった枝が増えただけです。Pachypodium that I have gotten as horombense is sprouting flower bud first time. To timing of flowering is quite different by type. It has passed 7 years since I have gotten. But size is hardly change but the number of branches that only 3 has increased.

オペルクリカリアデカリー(operculicarya decaryi)
樹形が気に入って一本だけ手に入れた小さなデカリー、今年も無事に葉を出しています。A small decaryi that I liked tree shape and got only one. It is sprouting new leaves well this year, too.昨年は届いた種をそのまま蒔いて失敗したので、今年はしっかりと1日ぬるま湯につけて乾燥した果肉をはがしてから蒔きました。Last year I sowed seeds as it was and failed. So this year seeds put in lukewarm water for 1 day and peeled the dry pulp and sow.1日ぬるま湯につけると果肉がふやけます。Dry pulp will turn soft put in lukewarm water 1 day.果肉をはがしますPeel off the pulp and sow昨年何もせずにそのまま蒔いたトレーから、デカリーらしきものが1本発芽しました。From the tray sowed as it was without do anything last year, one germinated likes decaryi.

アデニウムソコトラナム(adenium socotranum)
加温ケースから出した後しばらくお休み中だったソコトラナムが新芽を出し始めました。Socotranum which have been sleep has begun to new leaf out when it has passed for a while after taking out from heating case.先月の合同例会で入手したソコトラナムも新芽を出し始めましたが株元が少し凹んで怪しい状態です。Socotranum which I have gotten on joint meeting last month has new leaf out but caudex has slightly dented. Is it OK?

カナリーヤシ(canary island date palm)
先月カナリーヤシの発根の事を書きましたが、調べてみたら「最初に種から出てきた白い根のような物は根ではなく"子葉柄”」というそうです。子葉柄が土の中に伸びてその先端が充実肥大して、そこから根と芽が出るそうです。写真左側の種から子葉柄が土の中に伸びて芽が出てきました。右側の種は子葉柄が土に入っていますが、芽はまだです。Last month I wrote about canary palm roots out, but when I looked it up it was not roots it was "cotyledonary petiole". Cotyledonary petiole streches into soil, its tip fully enlarge and roots and sprout comes out there. On left picture, cotyledonary prtiole sttreched into soil and cotyledon has sprout. On right seed, cotyledonary prtiole sttreched into soil but cotyledon has not sprout yet.右側の鉢の種は子葉柄が出る方が下になっていたようで、子葉柄は見えませんが種の脇から芽が出てきています。The seed of the right pot seems to have been downward with cotyledonary petiole exit, can not visible cotyledonary petiole. Cotyledon has sprouted side of the seed.

ホロンベンセ？(pachypodium horombense?)
入手してから数年、初めて咲いたパキポディウム。チューリップを小さくしたような形の花です。ホロンベンセ？Pachypodium which passed several years has bloomed first time after I have gotten. It is a flower shaped like a small tulip. Horombense?

ラスポリーが咲きました(pterodiscus ruspolii has bloomed)
いつの間にかラスポリーが咲いていました。つい先日見た時にはつぼみが無かったようですが･･･この時期生長が速いです。Before I knew ruspolii was bloomed. When I saw the other day the flower buds seemed to be missing, but growth is first now. ヌガミクスと古城はまだつぼみが有りません。Ngamicus & speciosus haven't flower buds yet.

奇想天外の植え替え(welwitschia mirabilis repotting)
どれも子葉が出そろったところで深鉢に植え付けました。もうしばらくは水を切らさないように腰水で管理しようと思います。結局9粒蒔いて発芽したのは6粒でした。I did repotting them to deep pot when they have done to sprouted cotyledon. It is necessary to be careful to not dry for a while.At a result, they have germinated 6 of 9 grains.

パキポディウム･ナマクアナム(pachypodium namaquanum)
先月の合同例会で入手したナマクアナム、植え付けてから1か月少々、新芽が出てきたみたいです。It has passed a month a little since I have gotten pachypodium namaquanum seedlings on joint meeting last month. One of them have seems new leaf out.

花きりんの実生苗(euphorbia millii seedling)
実生した花きりん、期待できそうな苗が育っています。Good shape seedlings are growing up.実生はどんな苗が出来るか楽しめて面白いです。Seeding is interesting because we can enjoy what kind of seedlings come out.

ポイゾニーとユニスピナ(euphorbia poissonii & unispina)
ポイゾニーとユニスピナ、今年は「短い雨季に速く生長する」と聞いたので昨年より多く灌水してみました。そのせいか新葉が出始めてから約3週間経ちますが、葉の出る勢いが昨年までとは全然違って絶好調のようです。poissonii & unispina, I heard "they are growing in short rainy season quickly" then I did watering to them more than last year.As a result they looked their growth is very well.ユニスピナ unispinaポイゾニー poissonii

パキポディウム･デカリー(pachypodium decaryi)
デカリーがしっかりと葉を出してきました。まだ、夜間は冷えたり急な雨がふったりで外に出したり家に入れたりです。Decaryi leaf out well,but placed them indoor or outdoor because temperature down in night and it had sudden rain.実生のデカリーも順調に育っています。Decaryi seedlings are also growing well.葉の大きさはどちらも変わらないくらいです。Both leaf size are about same.

奇想天外の子葉（welwitschia mirabilis cotyledon)
根が出てから3～4日後に芽が出始め、芽が出て翌日には子葉がはっきりわかるようになりました。Sprout out began to appear 3 or 4 days after roots out, cotyledon became looks cleary next day that sprout out.

奇想天外の実生(welwitschia mirabilisi)
先日根が出始めた奇想天外、少し遅れて葉も出始めました。Welwitschia mirabilis roots out began the other day, also leaf out has began.発根した時に種が持ち上げられたので土を足しました。Added soil when roots out because seed was lifted as root out.ところで、1月に蒔いたカナリーヤシ、いつの間にか葉が出てきました。By the way, canary island date palm seeded in january, leaves came out unnoticed.他にも根が出ている種も有りますが・・・、聞くところによるとカナリーヤシは根が出てそのまま種から少し離れたところに葉も出るとか？There are some seeds that roots has out. According to what I heard, canary island date palm leaf will out where a little leave from the seed as it is?

奇想天外・種まきその後(welwitschia mirabilis,after seeding)
種を蒔いて2日目、あちこちに書かれていたように根が出てきました。The 2nd day after sowing,roots became out as it was written web site. ケース内の温度は28℃、今のところ順調のようです。The temperature inside case is 28℃, it seems to be fine as of now.

初めての収穫(harvest that first time)
イノピナツムの種が初めて採れました。It has harvested the first time inopinatum seeds.(left one)我が家で今までに結実したの他のパキポ（えびす笑い、えびす大黒、エブレネウム）より莢は太くて短いです。Seedpod are thicker and shorter than other pachypodium(brevicaule, eburneum, brevicaule hyb) that fruited my house until now.種も少し大き目で二つの莢から14粒しか採れませんでした。Seeds are a little bigger and have collected only 14 grains as 2 seedpod.種の形も種類によってかなり違いますね。The shape of seed is quite different depending on species.

奇想天外(welwitschia mirabilis)
奇想天外の種が届きました。初めて注文した南アフリカの業者さん、発送等の連絡は無く送金から18日で届きました。ヨーロッパ、アメリカに比べると少し日にちがかかりました。南アフリカは遠いです。Welwitschia mirabilis seeds have arrived. South african trader that I ordered for the first. There were no information to shipping, until to arrive it took 18 days since I have paid. It is a little late than USA and Europe. South afirica is too far away.いろいろ調べた結果、外の殻をはぎ取って一粒づつ、そのまま植え替えられるジフィーポットに蒔きました(植え替えの時に根を痛めるとダメになる事が多いそうです)。As a result of various investigations, I sown them in a "Jiffy Pot" which can peel off the outer shell and replant it as it is.(If roots have some damage when replanting then it seems it will to die)"Jiffy Pot" called in Japan is made by organic material and decomposes and become soil.設定温度は25℃、温度が下がらないようふたをのせました。Present temperature is 25℃,I did cover with lid that temperature dose not go down.

出遅れていた植物(plants that had not leaf out yet)
6月になり、未だに新芽が出ていなかった植物もやっと動き始めました。アデニア・ゴエツィーもやっと新葉を出してきました。In June, the plants that had not yet sprouts also finally leaf out.Adenia Goetzei finally new leaf out.錦さんごは開花しているものも有りますが、今頃になって新芽を出し始めたものも有ります。There are blooming Jatropha berlandieri but there are that new leaf out nowadays.これで、まだ新芽が出ていないのはマタレアシクロフィラとフォッケアムルチフローラになりました。As a result, plants that not leaf out are Matelea Cyclophylla & Fockea Multiflora.

ビスピノーサム実生その後(pachypodium bospinosum seedlings)
ビスピノーサムが発芽してから約1か月半経ちました。最近は大分気温も上がってきたので何日かは1日中屋外放置です。It has passed about 1.5 month since when they have germinated. They have placed outdoor through day because temperature has raised these days.屋外で直射日光に当たり茎の色も変わりしっかりとしてきました。It looks direct sunshine changes their stem color and they have grew well.

あまり目立たない物（plants that are not so striking）
あまり目立たず忘れがちになっているものがいくつかありますThere are some plants that are not so striking.カプサインテマリエンシスcapsaitemariensis我が家に来て6年経つと思いますが、少し基部が丸くなったでしょうか･･･It has passed 6 years when since I got it but caudex has grew little.ブルビスピナ bulbispinaこれもとても生長が遅いです。Growth is very slow. Branches have grew only a little.イベルビレアテヌイセクタ 2013年実生Ibervillea tenuisecta 2013 seedlingケドロスティスアフリカーナkedrostis africanaこれも2013年の実生ですが全然育っていません。塊根は1㎝弱This is 2013 seedling,too but it grew only a little. Caudex diameter is less than 1 cm.

ドルステニアギガス(dorstenia gigas)
ギガスが新芽を出し始めてからそろそろ1か月。その間に「早く生長させるのには、成長期はたっぷりと灌水し用土には肥料（鶏糞）を混ぜている」との書き込みを見て試してみました。いくつかは有機肥料を含んだ用土で大きい鉢に植え替え、天気のいい日にはたっぷりと水をやっています。About a month passed after gigas new leaf out. I saw a write that " to need enough watering & moderate fertilization when gigas growth period". So I tried it. Some of one replanted to larger pot, to use soil that include organic fertilizer. And I do enough watering when fine weather.ところで、葉の色が違うのはギガスの年齢の違いでしょうか？若い方が鮮やかな緑色です。By the way, difference of leaves color is difference of plants age?Younger plants have brilliant green leaves.

今年の種まき(seeding this year)
パキポディウムの種を本格的に蒔き始めましたが、異なる用土でずいぶんと発芽状況が違いました。昨年までは肥料分が少ない軽めの用土、今年は試しに肥料を含む用土も使ってみました。肥料が多めの用土に蒔いた種は腐ってしまいました。There are germination differences between soil that used until last year and used this year. I used soil that include fertilizer this year then many seeds have rot. For seeding, it seems better to use soil not include fertilizer. 今までと同じ用土に蒔いたものseeding to same soil that to use until last year肥料を含んだ用土に蒔いたものseeding to soil that include fertilizer 肥料分の少ない軽めの用土が正解のようです。It is right to use soil that include few fertilizer and well drained.
