1.3. I believe that data on residents should not be open to the public.
2.1.1. There is a possibility that the public records system is abused by criminals.
2.1.2. A man might abuse the open records system to find his victims to fulfil his desire.
2.1.3. In January, a girl in Nagoya was sexually assaulted by the man who allegedly claimed he needed to collect personal infomation "for advertising music lessons."
2.2.1. Public awareness of the need to protect personal information has been rising.
2.2.2. We should protect personal information such as a resident's name, address, gender and birthdate.
2.2.3. The Personal Information Protection Law forbids firms from offering data to third parties without the individual's consent.
3. Therefore I believe that data on residents should not be open to the public.
