　It would be incorrect to pigeonhole her as a children's author, since many adults also enjoy her books.

　pigeonholeの意味がつかめません。

　pigeonはハトという意味で、holeは穴ですから、ハトの穴？ということでしょうか？

　辞書を調べてみると、次のように書かれていました。

　pigeonhole： (verb) treat or classify according to a mental stereotype

　ほかの辞書には次のように書かれていました。

decide that somebody belongs to a particular group or type without thinking deeply enough about it and considering what other qualities they might have

　「 荒っぽく分類する 」とか、「 決めつける 」というような意味になりそうです。

stereotype , categorize と同義語になるのでしょうね。

　Doctors and Lawmakers Say Pox Pops Are a Bad Idea

　US authorities are warning parents not to mail lollipops（ペロペロキャンディー）licked by kids infected with the chickenpox（水ぼうそう）to other parents hoping to expose their children to the disease.
　So-called pox parties, get-togethers aimed at exposing non-immunized kids to chickenpox, have been going on for quite some time.
　The lollipop idea is meant to accomplish the same thing, but doctors warn that the candies are unlikely to pass on chickenpox and could actually expose children to other, more serious diseases.
　Lawmakers also warn that sending such a package could violate federal laws against shipping biohazards across state lines.
