以前から3000系が登場していたものの、これまでは西武イエロー塗装の編成で、「各停 本川越」の行き先から新宿線の列車として登場しているということしか判明していなかった。しかし12月18日（19日深夜）に放送された第11話で前面がはっきりと見える描写があり、「3009」と車両番号が書かれ、行き先も「各停 西武新宿」と、しかも実物と同じ書体で書かれていることを確認した。
3009Fは最後に残った西武イエロー塗装の3000系で、アニメでは新宿線の列車として登場したものの、実車の最末期は池袋線に所属していた。残念ながら実車は12月に引退し、もう走っている姿を見ることができないが、最後の最後に「四月は君の嘘」に登場したことで、鉄道ファンだけでなくアニメファンの人の記憶にも焼きつけられたことだろう。
それにしても、アニメに描かれた鉄道車両が放送中に引退してしまうということは、滅多にないことではなかろうか。アニメを見て、登場した車両に乗りたいという人が増え、鉄道会社としてはファンを増やすチャンスだというのに。
Seibu 3000 Series pictured in "I met the girl under full-bloomed cherry blossoms and my fate has begun to changed" anime, with which Seibu Railway tie up, was identified as 3009F on the latest episode on other day.
Though 3000 Series has appeared on the anime several times, it was seen that the yellow-coloured and its indicators showed the letter "Local for Hon-kawagoe". However, in the episode 11 broadcast on December 19th, pictured its front clearly, it was identified as 3009F set by the number under the front window and its destination indicator was written in the same font as the real one.
3009F set in the real world, retired on this December, was one of the last two sets, but ran on Ikebukuro Line. Appearing on this anime, anime fans, as well as railfans, could say goodbye to and memorised it.
It is rare case that the train appearing on an anime show is retired while the show is broadcasting. Some people may be drawn by the train to see and feel what the characters do, which create the new demand for the railway companies.
