On December 12th, I travelled with Seibu 4000 Series 4109F set "52 Seats of Happiness". It was the second time for me. This time, I chose the plan from Seibu-shinjuku Station to Seibu-chichibu Station.
At 10:41 AM, the train came to track 2 of Seibu-shinjuku Station.
My seating was in carriage number 2 (Moha 4109). Some attendants set the partitions along the border of the tables for four and the aisle to avoid COVID-19 infection.
At 10:47, the train departed. Before passing Takadanobaba Station, the train ran in parallel with Yamanote Line train. After passing Takadanobaba Station, the train went under the railway of Yamanote Line and turned toward the west.
At Nakai Station, the train went ahead of the other train. I couldn't see it on the route from Ikebukuro.
Between Nakai Station and Nogata Station, I saw a construction field of an underground railway nearby the present railway.
The train stopped at Higashi-fushimi Station to wait for the other train to pass. While the train stopped, the food service started. The first dish was a piece of bread.
After departing from Higashi-fushimi Station, an attendant brought me the appetizer, marinated chicken and mushrooms with vegetables.
The third was a cup of French onion soup. The caramelized onion in the soup was oil-free.
The train stopped at Higashi-murayama Station for schedule adjustment. Before stopping at Tokorozawa Station, the train crossed over railway tracks to change its direction toward Seibu-chichibu.
From Tokorozawa, the train went onto Ikebukuro Line. After passing Kotesashi Station, the attendant brought me the main dish. It was a piece of pork cutlet with a mustard sauce. A slice of stewed pork fried. Because of the stewed pork, it was soft and easy to cut.
At Bushi Station, the train waited for the limited express train to pass. It was also one of the attractions to watch.
Before dessert service, I ordered a cup of tea made from leaves harvested in Yokoze Town, Saitama. During the travel, I drank that several times without an additional cost.
While the train was stopping at Hanno Station, the dessert was kuromitsu brown sugar-flavoured Bavarian cream and soy sauce-flavoured ice cream with strawberry harvested in Saitama Prefecture.
The train changed its direction again and went into the mountainous area along Koma River.
The train stopped because of an earthquake between Koma Station and Musashi-yokote Station. A few minutes later, the train crews checked the safety of the railway and the train. Then, the travel restarted.
At Higashi-agano Station, the train stopped to wait for the opposite-direction trains because of the single track. While stopping there, the time for the final order for drinks had come.
From Agano Station, the railway went through many tunnels, including Shomaru Tunnel, the longest one among Seibu Railway.
The train arrived at Ashigakubo Station after going out of the longest tunnel. The train stopped in about thirty-five minutes. Passengers could get off the train to go shopping at a souvenir shop. I
At 1:50 PM, the train departed from Ashigakubo Station. Near Yokoze Station, I could see Mt. Buko on the left side. Going out of Hitsujiyama Tunnel, the train arrived at Seibu-chichibu terminal.
It was enjoyable because of the different attractions from the route from Ikebukuro, going ahead of the other train at Nakai and crossing railways at Tokorozawa.
