この曲を最初に聞いた時、衝撃を受けたのを思えています。
ヴァレンシア (Valensia) と言う名の男性シンガーソングライター。
1990年代のはじめ、デビューしたての彼はたしかティーンエイジャーでした。
自分が作ってみたかったクラシックとロックを融合したロック・オペラ風の曲を、はるかに超える高い次元で実現して見せた若いミュージシャンが出現して、これはかなわないと思いました。
ガイヤというのはギリシア神話に登場する 大地の女神 であり、地球のことを意味します。
CD買って何度も聞きましたが、その後、彼がどうなったのか知りません。
オランダ人だということも最近知りました。
ちょっと長い曲ですが、久しぶりに聞いていまでも凄いなと思います。
