Hospital-department store
(Continued from previous day)

It was a mammoth hospital, so I had to ask the direction to my doctor’s office. I began walking seemingly endless maze, to the left and to the right, like a hamster in cage.
Along came another lobby with a fabulous sculpture and a huge Christmas tree. I took an elevator next to the lobby and got off at the said floor. Since I saw a row of incubators it must have been a maternity ward.

Even with appointment, one has to wait for at least 30minuts at any doctor’s office. When I entered the waiting room, I was surprised again. There were three Plasma TVs so that every person can see from where they sat although no one was watching. And, like a cosmetic department store, there was a glass case with bunch of organic cosmetics. On the left, there was an antique shelf full of children’s books and stuffed animal arranged in a professional way. (Continues)

その病院は巨大なので、主治医の部屋への行き方を

聞かなければならなかった。折の中のハムスターの

ように、終わりのないような迷路を左に右に曲がると、

また素晴らしい彫刻と、どでかいクリスマス・ツリー

が置いてあるロビーがあった。その横にある

エレベーターに乗り指定された階で降りた。インキュベーター

がぞろりと並んでいたから産婦の病棟らしい。

医者というのは予約しても最低３０分は待たされるが、

その待合室に入って、またビックリした。誰も見て

いなかったが液晶テレビが三つもあり、どこに

座っても見られるようになっていた。

そしてデパートの化粧売り場のようなガラスのケース

に、オーガニックの化粧品がずらりと並んでいた。

さらに左側にはアンティーク調の棚があり、

子供の本や、縫い包みが上手く飾られてあった。
