I teach Japanese to four students at my house. I taught piano to Alex’s dad about three decades before. “Could you teach piano to my daughter?” One day he came with Alex, as I wrote in my first book. So she is the second generation. By the way, her full name is Alexandria, but we all call her Alex for short.
“I wish I were Japanese,’ says Alex. She loves everything about Japan: language, songs, games, anime, food and people. She especially loves sushi; I mean real ones like yellow-tail, toro, salmon and all.
