The theme of the last Sunday’s lesson of the English school was “Superstition.” Near to the end of the lesson, the instructor told us (me and one classmate) to do free discussion on some superstitions. I thought of the character judgment by the blood type in Japan. The character judgment by the blood type is not done in countries other than Japan. I’ve heard a doctor(psychiatrist) said that as for the character judgment by the blood type, grounds are not medically found. It is only a common saying, as though a lot of Japanese seem to believe it. I regarded it a superstition, but it might be moderate to consider it to be a mere common saying. By taking up the character judgment by the blood type as the topic of free discussion, we can do it fluently.
