One of the drawbacks of working for yourself is that you don’t have an employer paying you to learn new skills.
自分で働くことのデメリットの一つは、新しいスキルを学ぶための費用を支払ってくれる雇い主がいないということだ。

No manager is asking you to take a Udemy course on SQL, no team to rely on when a client asks for something you’ve never done before.

The skill gap is up to you to close, on your own time, usually while a deadline is breathing down your neck. Learn it fast or watch the work go to someone who already can.
スキルのギャップは、通常は締め切りが差し迫る中、自分自身の時間を使って、自分で埋める必要がある。素早く学ぶか、すでにできる人に仕事が渡るのを見守るかだ。

For a long time, closing that gap meant buying a course on a platform like Udemy or Coursera that most people never finish, which I’m guilty of. Or watching 30 YouTube videos at 2x speed and bookmarking articles I never reopen. Most of that effort wasn’t time well spent on learning. It was me trying to work out what was even worth learning.
長い間、そのギャップを埋めるということは、UdemyやCourseraのようなプラットフォームでコースを買うことを意味していた（そして、それは大半の人が最後までやり通せないものであり、私もその一人だ）。あるいは、30本のYouTube動画を2倍速で見たり、二度と開かない記事をブックマークしたりすることだった。その努力のほとんどは、学習のために有効に使われた時間ではなかった。何が学ぶ価値のあるものかすら見つけ出そうともがいていた時間だったのだ。

That part is mostly solved now. I use AI as a private tutor that builds the plan, cuts the filler, and warns me about the mistakes before I make them. It’s how I taught myself to write and publish online from scratch, and how I pick up most new skills now without drowning in material.
その部分は、現在ではおおむね解決されている。私はAIを、プランを構築し、無駄を削ぎ落とし、私が犯す前に間違いについて警告してくれるパーソナル家庭教師として使っている。それこそが、私がゼロからオンラインで文章を書き発信する方法を独学し、現在では情報に溺れることなくほとんどの新しいスキルを習得している方法なのだ。

Here are the five PRMPTs worth having in your arsenal. Feel free to copy them, fill in the skill/topic you want to master, and give the model context about your goal and where you’re starting from. The more it learns about you, the less generic the output is going to be.

1. The crash plan

Most of what you could study is irrelevant. What matters is finding that exact piece of information you need before you end up spending a week on the rest.

I want to get functional at [skill] in 20 hours, starting from [your current level]. Build me a plan covering only the 20% that delivers most of the results. Break it into ten two-hour sessions. For each one, tell me what to learn, give me one resource, and end with a five-minute way

When a project needs a skill you don’t have yet, this PRMPT is your first move. It turns a vague mountain of information into ten clear sessions. The check at the end of each block is the part that stops you from confusing “I watched it” with “I can do it.”
プロジェクトにまだ持ち合わせていないスキルが必要になったとき、このプロンプトがあなたの最初の打ち手となる。曖昧な情報の山を、10個の明確なセッションへと変えてくれる。各ブロックの最後にある確認作業こそが、「動画を見た」と「自分ができる」を混同するのを防いでくれる部分なのだ。
