Therefore, I say to you, my disciples, try practicing as the Lotus Sutra teaches, exerting yourselves without begrudging your lives! Test the truth of Buddhism now!

ある言葉が当たり前のごとく使われ続けると、その内実について深い考察もなしに言葉だけが上滑りすることがある。それでいて、自分はそれを「知っている」つもりでいる。でもそれは、言葉の表面を滑っているに過ぎない。言葉はゆで卵のように、ツルツルと手から滑ってしまい、しっかり掴むことも、口の中へ入れることもできない。
私がいつも祈りの中で思っていた理想も、そうなっていた。
： 私の理想って何だろう？
昨日の日記で「理想」という言葉が出たとき、漠然としたイメージはあったけれど、あえて立ち止まってそう考えたとき、すぐに言語化できなかった・・・ さっき、祈りの中でそれを考え、自分なりの答えを出した。
この thesis を、my mentor との誓いを果たす第一歩に、理想実現のための第一歩にする。終わりなきこの道の、第一歩と定める。
これを、私の人生において「此の度」だと決める。
