M・シャプティエ エルミタージュ・レルミット（赤）［2001］

地図の丘の頂上の紫色の線で示した場所です。 

これも凄いワインですね。

リキュール感とインクの香りがあって、超弩級ワインです。

深くて濃い、正に色と味がピッタリ合っています。

バランスの良いワインですが、テロワールの厳しさを映しだしてもいます。

独特な強いミネラル感が特徴で、ただ濃いワインではありません。

個人的には好きなワインです。白も赤もレルミットの素晴らしさに感動しました。

モンラッシェはひれ伏すべしと言われましたが、レルミットは心して飲むワインだと思いました。

レルミットの畑は、エルミタージュの丘の最も高いところにある、ジャブレ所有の白い聖堂に隣接した小区画です。樹齢80年のシラー100％から造られるこのワインは、清澄処理も濾過処理もされず、ほとんど黒に近い、とても濃いガーネット色をしています。キルシュリキュール、ブラックベリーや、カシス、インクの香りやスパイシーのような香りを感じます。とても力強いタンニンと共に、滑らかな舌触りがあり、とても素晴らしいワインです。

レルミット・ルージュはエルミタージュの丘の頂上部の、大変日当たりの良い斜面に位置している畑です。ワインに現れているインクや黒鉛、土、ブルーベリー、ベリー系の香りは、風化して粉状になった岩に由来する特徴です。フルーティさとミネラルを併せ持った深い味わいのワインです。

料理との相性 赤身の肉料理、熟成したチーズなど

土壌・畑情報 エルミタージュの丘の頂上部に位置し、大変やせた花崗岩質土壌。３ｈａ。
収穫方法 収穫は、完熟したブドウを手摘みで行います。
醸造情報 コンクリートタンクで２６度で２０日間発酵。
熟成情報 フレンチオークの新樽、１年樽、２年樽をほぼ均等に使用。２２カ月間熟成。

All of the single vineyard Ermitages turned out as good as I had hoped, possibly even better. In short they are among the strongest wines one could hope for in this vintage. The 2004 Ermitage l'Ermite exhibits blueberry and floral notes with that undeniable minerality lurking beneath the surface. It is full-bodied, which is rather remarkable in this vintage, with serious concentration for a 2004 and sweetness to the tannin. This wine might well be the most approachable of these wines, and drink well young yet last for 15 or more years.

Almost pure minerals with tart raspberry notes intermixed with hints of melons and red currants is the 2004 Ermitage l'Ermite. Abundant aromas of liquid rocks intermixed with notions of flowers and berries, it is more streamlined and restrained than usual with obvious minerality. It should drink well for 15+ years.
