I recently had lunch at Kamonka, a Chinese restaurant just a two-minute walk from Shimbashi Station.
My friend and I chose the 3500-yen course lunch, which turned out to be surprisingly good value because the private room was free to use during lunchtime.
The atmosphere felt calm and a little luxurious, perfect for having a relaxed conversation or celebrating something small without feeling too formal.
The course included several beautifully presented dishes, and each plate had that balance of richness and freshness that good Chinese cuisine is known for. The private setting helped us take our time, eat slowly, and enjoy talking without worrying about other customers.
If you want to catch up with a close friend over a slightly special meal, Kamonka is a great option.
