Visiting Mitsumine Shrine, one of the most famous power spots in the Kanto region, was a special experience for me.
The shrine is located deep in the mountains of Saitama Prefecture and is protected not by fox spirits but by wolf guardians called okami.
This gives the whole place a wild and ancient feeling.
I visited to receive a wolf talisman and took part in a formal prayer ceremony. Inside the main hall it was very quiet, and I could almost only hear the wind from the mountains.
When I held the blessed talisman in my hands, I felt as if I was being gently protected by nature and by something very old.
If you visit Mitsumine Shrine, it is better to avoid Saturdays and Sundays because they are extremely crowded and the parking lots and buses fill up quickly.
The road to the shrine is long and winding, so people who get carsick should be careful, and the air on the mountain is much colder than in the city, so warm clothing is important.
Even with these challenges, I think the shrine is worth the effort.
Mitsumine is not just a sightseeing spot, but a place where faith, mythology, and the power of nature are still alive.

少し大変な場所ですが、その分三峯神社は「自然と信仰が今も生きている場所」として心に残るところだと感じました。
