英国の王子がニューヨークでパパラッチに付け回されているという報道があった。母親のダイアナ妃が同じような事件で亡くなっているので、同様な悲劇を想像した人も多いだろうと思う。
ところがこの王子が出版した自叙伝”Spare”のゴーストライターがメディアにつけまわされて大変困惑したと告白している。彼の家族までもメディアに追われて大変不安な思いをしたようだ。彼はすでに数名の有名人のゴーストライターを務めたが、名前はいつも秘密にしておりこんな経験は初めてだという。今回も秘密にしていたが、出版の前にリークしてしまったという。この自叙伝は英語での出版の前にスペイン語版が出されたが、これがすぐにメディアにより英語に逆翻訳され、そこでの誤訳が世間で誇張されたと彼は言っている。今回の経験から、常にマスコミの注目の中にいるハーリー王子の心情を始めて理解することができたと彼の感慨を告白している。

In the meantime, the ghostwriter of Prince Harry's autography "Spare" says that he and his family were chased and harassed by media. He had been a ghostwriter of some celebrities. He always tries to be anonymous. But before "Spare" was published, his name was leaked. The book was first published in Spanish. Media immediately translated it back into English. He claims that bad translation by media caused misunderstanding of the public. Now he realized from this experience how stressful Prince Harry's life in the spotlight is.
